Dish Network sucks.
If you're going to get satellite TV.....DirecTv is the best. |

In terms of quality of HD, that is more dependent on your TV and/or your receiver. If you have a TV with 1080p and a receiver with an hdmi output then it shouldn't matter if it is Cable or Satellite that you get HD content through. Hell you can get full HD content through an HD over the air antenna for free.

DirectTV is kind of expensive...
I have cable right now....trying to see if I can save some money going a different direction. So many charges each month...charges for the remote, receiver, etc...DVR service etc. |

DirecTv is adding 50 HD channels this month alone, another 100 by the first of the year.

I have had directv for 2 years and had one loss in the living room and one in the master. If a good installer puts it in it works very well.

Boy, TV services sure does vary doesn't it? Satellite bombs out on bad weather, cable doesn't. I have the Dish TV stuff, and it works fine for me. I do not yet have an HD set. but it is a coming.....

By the end of this month there will be over 70 HD channels for 10 bucks a month. Early next year that number will jump to over 100 and by the end of next year, 150. They will have more HD programming than anyone and if you get in now you get grandfathered in to the 10 bucks a month for HD programmer pricetag. No gaurantee that doesnt go up with all that programming. Anyways, the real answer to your question is cable is technically speaking, better HD picture but unless you are one of those snobby types, you probably wont see any difference. |

Most the time it is snow piled up on dish..takes 2 seconds to get out there and clear it off....fine again! I really don't get why people say storms you lose service...major rain or snow I don't lose it. |

haha...nah I mean dish network has nfl network so it's cool... I'm not free every sunday, or sometimes not even MOST so I don't know if it would be worth it.
Right now I'm paying $75.00 after taxes for cable...I don't have anything exclusive either. I was reading about the HD Lite...and I could tell difference. |

The difference between signals becomes more apparent when you increase screen size. If you use a front projector and project into a screen 104" wide, then differences might become apparent. In this case I have no idea since I have never compared them.
