Ha Ha...this tool doesn't realize you only talk after you WIN...
...and then only if you didn't get owned by the guy you're dissin... http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...044/0/SPORTS01 Top draft pick Johnson fails to wow Oakland secondary CB Washington says Detroit's new receiver is 'nothing special' By PHIL BARBER THE PRESS DEMOCRAT OAKLAND -- Maybe it was just the run-off from sour grapes in the losers' locker room, but Raiders cornerback Fabian Washington wasn't in a mood to compliment Lions super-rookie Calvin Johnson after the Raiders' 36-21 loss -- even after Johnson had dragged him across the field on a 16-yard touchdown play in the third quarter. "He wasn't that great to me," Washington said afterward. "They did things to get him open, like pick routes and all that. But he was nothing special, trust me." Johnson played a lot in three-receiver sets, but starters Roy Williams and Mike Furrey got most of the action when the Lions put only two receivers on the field. Raiders corner Nnamdi Asomugha was more diplomatic than his counterpart, but agreed that the offense designed by Detroit coordinator Mike Martz does much in the way of motion and pass patterns to make its receivers look better. The Lions' four-receiver package -- with Shaun McDonald joining the other trio -- is getting a lot of national attention, but Asomugha doesn't think it's the best in the league. "It's good," he said. "We've seen better. We've seen three-receiver sets that have been better, like Cincinnati or Arizona. But they're good." |

That's pretty lame. Disparage your opponent after a loss? Ok, losers.

Yea, they do all sorts of tricky things to get their receivers open. . . like playing the raiders, for example.

Spoken like two CB's that gave up almost 300 yards and 3 TD's. It sounds like two guys who if they played halfway decent would have won the game as the Raiders offense actually showed up and scored 21 points and had 375 yards of offense. I tsounds like two guys who wish their DC had been able to make more adjustments to stop the 3 and 4 WR sets DET used to exploit the Raiders secondary all day.
In other words, it sounds like the raiders after a loss. b****in', whinin', and about ready to start pointing fingers Man I love the Raiders woohoo! |

Sour grapes though from chokeland. I don't know what's so wrong with trying your best, and admiting when you get beaten, learn from it, and move on and become a better player. |

I don't think I'd say something akin to:
"Yeah the dude got open and made catches on us -- but he's nothing special." What the heck does that say about YOU? Plus CJ is a rookie and that was his first professional game. Washington is in his third year so let's see where Calvin Johnson is three years from now and then compare. My guess is that CJ will be asking Washington if he wants a little butter with that toast. |
