NFL Games you can't miss, Denver
Other marquee matchups: Raiders at Broncos. Rivalry game? Hardly. Denver hasnít lost to Oakland since 2004 and is 7-1 in the last eight games. If the Raiders put up a good fight here, maybe their fortunes have finally turned.
Donít miss: Broncos at Colts.
Denverís star cornerback Champ Bailey has held Colts receiver Marvin Harrison to an average of three catches and 41 receiving yards the last three times the teams have played. Maybe thatís why Peyton Manning has thrown to Reggie Wayne instead. (nearly 450 yards receiving yards combined in those games). Now, the Broncos added another Pro Bowl cornerback in Dre Bly. Your move, Indy.
Broncos at Lions. Notable for the fact that ex-Lions cornerback Dre Bly could be matched up against the latest Lions receiver taken in the first round, Calvin Johnson.
Broncos at Bears. Super Bowl matchup? Possibly.
Donít miss: Chiefs at Broncos.
By this point, teams may be stacking nine players along the line of scrimmage to stop Kansas Cityís only real offensive weapon, running back Larry Johnson. L.J. and his NFL single-season record 416 carries from a year ago could break down at any moment, though, making this game a must-win for Denver, who will be chasing San Diego all season for the AFC West crown. And donít forget, it was K.C., not Denver, that reached the 2006 AFC playoffs with a 9-7 season. Rest assured the Broncos wonít be taking this game lightly.
Other marquee matchups: Broncos at Chargers. Expect the AFC West title to be decided here, though the Broncos probably wish it were in wintry Denver instead.
