You guys do realize Terrell Davis was listed at 5'11 210 pounds, and Selvin Young is listed at 6'0 210 pounds...right?
![]() Oh, and on Wikipedia he's listed at 217... I'm not saying he will be great or even be a starter...I'm just saying people seem to try and judge a player, but don't ever realize previous greats were in the same position. Last edited by The MVPlaya; 08-28-2007 at 02:06 AM.. |

Just because they weigh the same (or close), it doesn't mean they are as strong as each other or have the same build.

Strength never came into the equation...and of course they won't have the same build but at the same time, you can't tell me two players at the same weight are in a dramatically different situation. As in, one is too small to start and the other is a hall of famer.
For 2 human beings of course this could be the case (body fat, etc) all come into play, but these are professional athletes so they're in top shape. We will see... |

In a way, I wish he hadn't gone off like that against the Browns. We couldda slipped him onto the practice squad before, but now he would be signed away if we tried that kinda move.
So now what do we do? Cut Paul Smith I guess ... and have Sapp as the backup FB. Smith was heralded as a special teams warrior, but has anybody seen him in there? Come to think of it, I haven't seen him at all. |

Young looked good, but can we please institute some kind of forum ban on mentioning him in the same breath with TD?
Other than that, I'm behind the kid. He'll push Bell for the back-up job. We're in great shape, there. |
