I don't post often. I love the discussion between broncos fans and even rival fans. this preseason has been hard to take. The offense has looked good to crappy, the defense has looked crap to even more crap. But today I viewed the HBO series with Bryant Gumble, real sports(?). After the Javon interview I had to rewatch many of the darrent williams tribute videos. It is a sombering moment and it real makes me remember just what this is. Football is nothing more than a sport, and the only impact that it truly has is on the ego. Many football fans live day to day hoping and praying for good news, but are dismayed by the bad news. Nothing more divasting can happen than to lose two promising young players. This game is nothing more than a sport, and at the end of the day one team proclaims itself a winner, the other a loser, but when reminded of such tragedies is a winner or loser necessary? This team is not only suffering from personnel changes and staff changes, but from changes of the soul. CAn this team play with a heavy heart? Can it find the ability to play for more than itself? Will it play for the memories of D-Will and nash? Does it want to? or does it want to forget? This season is hard on the soul. On one hand I am the competitive beast of a lion, kill or be killed, 16-0 or nothing. On the other hand the tragedies hang over me like a dark cloud waiting to rain on my parade. This is life and I can only hope for the best. If the best is a team that is in recovery mode and is coping with itself, then be it, I can allow myself to enjoy it.

In competitive sports there has to be a winner and a loser. In life it's not as black and white. Hopefully we can all be winners in life. Hell a handfull of people who love you, i mean really love you, and you are a winner in my book. Compared to a person losing his life competitive sports just don't matter, but life goes on. We would of course pray for a 0-16 season if it meant those 2 players would live, but unfortunatly things don't work that way. You asked in your post if a winner and a loser is neccesary? well it's just a fact that can't be changed. As far as Dwill and Nash are concerned I don't think b****ing about the Broncos performance in any way diminishes how much the whole team, fanbase and NFL in general is sickened by what happened. In a way the whole Vick thing has taken away from the more important issue of how the NFL is going to honor Dwill and Dnash. Even of greater importance catching the dudes responsible for such a brazen murder. I can't help but wonder if the country put as much into catching those killers and stopping gangs as they have over some dead dogs maybe we could be celebrating a real conviction, or maybe even a death penalty for some POS subhumans that call themselves crips.
