I have 50 bucks on Mike's opponent in his first prison fight. He better hope the guards have some pry bars too.

It will also be interesting finding out what new and exciting VD's Ron Mexico picks up in prison.

It now becomes the biggest lopsided trade ever. Best RB in pro football for a dog killing jerkoff that might not ever play again. Yeah I'd say Chargers got the best of that deal.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has accepted a plea deal in his federal dogfighting case. NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting the agreement calls for a 10-12 month prison sentence.

You didn't need a felony conviction to conclude that....When you got the best RB in football, got to pay him less by not spending the 1st pick in the draft on him and picked up extra compensation for a guy who was a fragile below average NFL QB it was already set in stone.

Kind of off topic, but how bad does this screw the Falcons Salary cap?

Probably not too bad at all if they can get a judgment for the prorated unearned portion of his signing bonus...Given the judgments that went against Barry Sanders and Ricky Williams it shouldn't be tough for them to get a judgment against Mexico. This is a PR nightmare for the Falcons but financially it is one of the biggest mulligans of all time. To be able to recover a big portion of the most foolishly spent signing bonus' and contracts of all time is quite the lucky bounce.

Sort of makes up for that Ryan Leaf vs Peyton Manning draft pick.

My Brother and I were talking about this. I said no because Vick played games and got his team to, and won playoff games. So no, he's not as much of bust as Leaf. Now Leaf was so crappy he helped them get LT, so I guess it all works out with parity in the NFL.

Now, there needs to be a two-year moratorium on mentioning Mike Vick's name.

Every now and then, a story comes along that has all the ingredients for the media to just beat it to death. This is one of those stories.

I hear what you are saying - but might want to hold off on the moratorium until after sentencing..you know thats going to spawn a few more threads..

So will he get any more jail time besides the plea deal he's getting from the feds? Seems like some other jail time should be dished out for all the state laws he broke.
