Welcome to the 2007 Fantasy Football Geeks League

It is a dark time for the Geek Empire
A stranglehold of the league has begun
thanks to a dynasty of a certain
Avalanche-loving-Raiders-hating-
Peter Forsberg worshipper from Montana
who despite the best efforts of others,
decided to make the league her own personal
chew toy over the course of the past three years
by winning two of the three championships

Mtbronco and her evil team has dominated the
republic of nerddom in the geek league for two
of its past three championships and the
rebellion has been crushed like a beer can
under the strain of her domination

Can one fantasy league jedi knight
save the universe of fantasy football
geekdom from her onslaught? We can only hope.
And pray
And drink a hell of alot of beer on the draft day
And make sure she doesnt end up with LT or LJ

Some clown in one of my leagues picked Vick, needless to say he was dropped not to long ago

I liked the draft, fast and funny the entire time. Good to see alot of the "Old timers" again. Should be a fun season full of smack

Not sure yet. I'm trying to talk Sassy into a trade for Anthony Thomas. The strategy you're taking makes lots of sense, and there are only a small handful of teams it works with. You get someone questionable, you also get his backup. Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts. Larry Johnson and Michael Bennett (assuming LJ's knee is tick tick ticking towards explosion). It makes sence with Marshawn Lynch and Anthony Thomas (hint hint, Sassy ). Warrick Dunn and Jarious Norwood would be a good one. Get them as a combo, and you're assured of being solid at the most important position in fantasy football, all year long.

Of course, the flip side of that is when you have a coach that does the RBBC thing, and both your guys kill you by staying healthy all season.

Let me let it percolate for awhile. I kind of want to let the first few weeks of the season go before I do anything rash. I like to get into about week three or four before I shift into full-blown panic mode.

I'm loving the Geek League, by the way. That was the smoothest draft I've ever been a part of. Everyone was decisive, and everyone is likable. I'm really looking forward to the season there.

Oh, and when I win, it will have been against eleven really solid teams.
