Based on contact talks in recent days, the Kansas City Chiefs and running back Larry Johnson are bridging their differences and getting closer to a long-term contract extension. The two sides have engaged in serious contract talks in recent days, making considerable progress as recently as Saturday, and further talks will take place in the coming days aimed at ending Johnson's holdout. I don't get what you gain by waiting as long as the Chiefs have but at least it looks like they will be getting it done. Doesn't matter the way Croyle and that oline look. I doubt Mcintosh would be much better so I won't even say they really need him back. |

If LJ folds because some of the stupid verbal shots that have been sent his way by CP or Priest are gettin to him, then he is more gullible than i thought and deserves to be taken advantage of and used like a rented jackass...

Everyone knew this deal was going to get done even before Priest's song and dance.

I wasn't LJ, it was the line. Now that line is gone. Cheaps are in a rebuilding year to see if Croyle is the future.

Do you realize how much yardage LJ gets after contact? I am sure that was the line as well. Lets not forget that this line has pass protection problems...not run blocking problems. Great take though. |

Is there anyway we can ban all chiefs talk?? I'm so sick of reading this crap. And no, I can't just not read it. I attempt to read every inane thread on this time-sucking life-consuming horrorfest that is the Omane.
But seriously, I would like to propose all chief talk banned unless its the week we play those bbq-ing crotchstain clowns. Last edited by yerner; 08-12-2007 at 02:14 AM.. |

Also even if Mcintosh got healthy and played better then Black did the loss of Shields would counter that big time. Welbourne just isn't even half the player Sheilds was. By the way Terry doesn't look very good either.

No..I'm just starting up virgin fresh for the first time this year...I hope KC makes LJ earn every penny of his new contract because from what i herd he had it easy last year and basically road the pine and collected his pay doing next to nothing...
