Hello All. Yes, i know, not a 100 posts but i thought i would share this with you all anyway since we're all "obsessed" with Hixon. I am a paid subscriber to a fantasy football service that has some pretty good solid info every year since i joined in 1998. ANyways, they released their sleeper list recently and guess who was on it?? Hixon. Here is what they say:
Broncos WR Domenik Hixon: We talked to Bill Williamson of the Denver Post the other day and he said Hixon was making plays left and right. “The Broncos love him,” Williamson said. “He has a real chance.” Indeed, with Rod Smith (hip) likely to retire and Brandon Marshall nursing leg injuries in Shanahan’s doghouse, that leaves Javon Walker, Brandon Stokley, and Hixon. And we all know Stokley won’t last more than 8 games. Hixon is extremely tough – he sprained his shoulder Tuesday and was back on the field Wednesday – and has a nose for the end zone. Anyone remember Hixon’s game-winning TD catch in the 2005 MAC Championship game? Here’s a little secret: John Miller ran into Broncos QB Jay Cutler at Nashville's Cabana restaurant (Cutler’s from Vanderbilt, was enjoying a week off) in July and asked him who’s really impressed him so far. You guessed it... (Hixon) |

Hixon is good, since when did this become news. I hear God prays to him every night before bed.

God sleeps? God has a bed? What time does God go to bed? What time zone is that or does a time zone even apply? What time does he get up? Does he eat breakfast? Does he even eat?

After this season, the first day of the week no will longer be known as Sunday, but rather everyone will reverently call it Hixonday.

Joking aside...I think the dude is pretty tough. He started at safety as a 160 pound freshman at Akron and finished like 4th on the squad in tackles. You got to be tough to play safety at 160 pounds.

I have my hopes for Hixon, but am not going to get too excited.
I could write a book with all the 'can't miss' awesome WR prospects the Broncos have had the last few years that amounted to nothing after mini-camps and training camps were over. |
