Default What do you do on Sundays?

If you're not attending a Broncos game, what do you like to do on a Sunday?

Do you go to a bar and watch the game? Do you stay at home with the family and watch together? Or do you even head to Mile High and hang with the other non-ticket holders?

Does the Broncos Barn in the parking lot remain open during game time? I was thinking it may be fun to head down there on days I can't attend the game to hang out with other Broncos fans.

If not, are there any spots in town that you like to go to other than your living room?

I've gone to one particular sports bar in town for the last few years. When the Chiefs aren't playing, Broncos fans take it over. It's great...

I usually get pretty tuned during the early game, and settle around the big screen at home, shun everyone away (since they can't possibly understand the emotional roller coaster I go through during a game), and get ready for some Bronco football.

Afterwards, I usually meet up with some friends for the evening game.

Sundays are my release during football season. I have 3 Tivo units now and tape the top 3 games I want to see at each time slot. Usually watch one at a time and then go back and watch the other games during the week. I get eight games a week that way with Direct TV. Then, I burn the games I want to keep to DVD.

Never miss watching Division rivals unless all are playing at the same time which is rare. i usually have my buddy TIVO that game and Burn it for me and make him watch at my house.

Yes, I drive My wife Nuts on Sundays The tradeoff is i do not watch many College games on Saturdays at home. But, Tivo is a beatiful thing!

Mediator, how do you burn them to DVD? I though TiVO only allowed you to copy them to VHS.

I go to the local cheesehead bar that has the NFL sunday ticket and watch Denver play. Unless they are on local TV. Last year I saw every game here at home, except the thanksgiving day game, had to go to the bar on turkey day. But that won't happen this year sorry to say, I'll be watching more games out this year. But trust me when I say there will not be a Denver game I won't see.

If I do end up at a bar or at a buddy's house, I always record the game so that I can rewatch it in peace and quiet. I pick up a lot more the 2nd time anyway.

Pick a bar with big TVs. ESPN zone or Sports Column are fun, but get extremely crowded. Get their early to get a decent seat.

...for away games I stay at home. Put the Bronco flags out when I get my paper, watch the pre-game shows, get some snack ready and drink a Mississippi Mud prior to Bronco kickoff. (note: one Mud must be consumed prior to the kickoff). Then at gametime the Tv's in the LR, Den and Mbr must be on and stay on Bronco Football, just in case I have to move about the house! My Bronco Horn is at my side so I can let the neighborhood know when we score!

So it would seem heading down to Mile High during a home game when you have no tickets isn't really a fun option? Perhaps I'll find a good sports bar here in Denver to frequent.

I go to the bar unless it is on TV then I watch on my HD 37 in TV. I am usually on the road and bid so I am off work by the time the Denver game is on and have to resort to a sports bar.

Heading down to the game prior to the game makes sense, but staying there during the game, if you don't have a seat? I really don't know what happens outside except that the grill is cooling off.

I've got a dvd recorder with Tivo built in. I've had it a couple of years or more. It works just like a regular Tivo machine, except you can burn anything you want to keep to a dvd. I thought it was a great idea and that there would be a lot more of them on the market by now. Instead, I hardly see them anymore.

...and to answer the question, I stay home and watch the games I don't attend. I also harass my Faider fan neighbor on a regular basis.

I live a little South East of the Cherry Creek area. I-25 and the Evans Avenue exit.

(I asked about going to the Field doing the game in case there was stuff going on during the game outside. Guess not)

I use a DVD burner that's connected to the TIVO. I did not know that anyone had trouble burning DVD's from TIVO. I recorded every 2006 World cup game to DVD and have been doing the NFL games for the last two seasons. Unfortunately, I have had difficulties burning a DVD from a burned DVD.

I usually watch from home, since I've been 86'd from most of the bars in this State.

Don't know of any hang-outs in that part of town. I'm in the Northwest corner of town. NW Westy!

Sounds very similar to my Sundays. Speaking of roller coaster, I was talking to my friend who is an avid football fan, and we were asking each other if we TRULY ENJOY watching our team play. My answer was "No". Unless the Broncos are up by 5 TDs, I am on the edge of my seat in friggin agony until the clock hits zero and the Broncos walk out with a "W". He basically agreed with me. Are we the only ones who punish ourselves for 3 hours every Sunday during football season by simply being a fan?

The parking lot at Invesco would be fun to party at...as long as someone there also has a tv with the game on
