Default Another reason Cutler > Leinart

This is part of a much larger article on Brynn Cameron and her son:

Leinart has been vocal in the media about his fondness for his son. He frequently speaks about his need to balance his time so he can be there for Cole. Cameron and Leinart, who dated during Leinart's time at USC, broke up in 2006.

Cameron wants to shield her son from the tabloids, entertainment magazines and other sensational media.

"It's kind of hard for me as the mom — I'm with Cole probably 99.9 percent of the time — to open a magazine or read a newspaper article with Matt saying, Oh, I love being a dad. I love changing diapers. I love doing this. I'm like, Wait, what?' " said Cameron, who added, "I don't know how to word how he is about this, but it's been hard when I'm doing all the work, but he gets all the credit for it."

The Arizona Cardinals quarterback and former USC star "comes and goes whenever he wants," Cameron said.

Cameron says she and Leinart have Cole's best intentions in mind, but co-parenting is a challenge with two unique individuals.

"I don't want to sit here and bad-mouth his lifestyle, but it is hard because we are different people. He likes that Hollywood stuff and I don't like that and raising a kid together, you have to work together as parents, but we're so different," Cameron said.

"It's hard, but I have to raise Cole to be a strong, secure kid so he knows what's right and wrong, what's good and bad and what really matters in life, which isn't what's going on in Hollywood or who's dating who. That's not what it's all about, and I think he'll know that being raised by me."

To be fair to Matt, I'm sure he has his own side of the story to tell.

Like what?? Theres no good excuse for not being there for your kid!! If he can't be there for him he should have thought about it before having unprotected sex!! Looks like cameron is doing all the work and has the mind set to be a good parent!!

Yeah... he should be like most kids and be ignored by his middle-low class father, not his filthy rich father. With a professional football playing, p***Y magnet, rich dad... boy this kid (little boy, mind you) has it terrible, huh?

Wtf does this have to to do Matt being greater than Jay?

Since you get one side of one story that doesnt sound to me like its much of a big deal, how does this equate to Matt < Jay?

Give it a ****ing rest. We got Jay, who gives a **** if he is better than Matt...or Vince for that matter. The only thing that matters is IF Jay is good for us.

I knew this chick was a gold digger. $360,000 per year to raise a child? Sounds like mommy support. He's already giving her a good amount per month, but she wants $30,000 per month. She's cashing in.

===========================================

http://people.monstersandcritics.com...d_support_woes
Footballer Matt Leinart is in a fight with his ex-girlfriend over child support payments for his son, 9-month old Cole.

TMZ.com reports the NFL star is in "a raging legal fight with his ex-girlfriend, Brynn Cameron, over the couple's son. According to sources close to the case, Brynn wants Matt to hand over more than $30,000 per month!"

According to TMZ sources close to the case, Leinart's not happy about this-- "having already bought her a car, as well as voluntarily giving her around six grand a month."

Leinart has signed a six-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals in 2006 worth near $51 million.

TMZ reports Leinart's waging a "gung-ho" battle for custody, and filed a petition to establish paternity. TMZ reports that the former USC star is a doting dad and already "comes back to L.A. once a week, every week, to see the baby," but he wants a schedule where he can see the kid in Arizona.

Cameron told the Ventura County Star that Leinart "comes and goes whenever he wants ... he likes that Hollywood stuff and I don't like that."

Both have a date in court August 13th, reports TMZ.com.

McCartney's Ex is getting a total of $140 million...broken up into an initial payment of $30 million, with an additional $7 million every year until their 3-year-old daughter turns 18.

Now THATS cashing in.

Here's a good idea then: don't talk to the media about it.

Sueing the ex for $30,000 a month in child support is a good way to shield the kid from tabloids, entertainment magazines and other sensational media.

still doesnt make her request any more reasonable...$30k/mo for child support is flat out silly. Does the baby need a new Audi every month?

Sounds like Matt is doing a heck of a lot more than other young athletes in his shoes might do. Weekly visits, $6k a month without needing to be asked...reasonable request to see his son in Arizona.

Cant say I have much issue with Matt.....his ex sounds like an opportunistic bad mouthing beyotch though...

I agree. But i have to wonder why Matt would even get " that " involved with her if they are that different when it comes to the limelight. I mean, she had to know the way things were going he had more star quality than the average football player. And it all of a sudden just dawned on her? Guess she was just waiting for the big payday. Oh well, Matt made his bed now he has to lie in it.

Not supporting Matt, but I bet if the situation was opposite, and he was taking the kid more then she was comfortable with, buying him cool toys and taking him everywhere he wanted, she would complain that he was trying to "buy" the kid and that he should pay her more so she could compete. Since they are in the middle of a court battle, she is going to try to make him look bad either way.

If she thinks she needs $360k per year to raise that kid then it sure sounds like she is trying to provide the Hollywood lifestyle that she claims to dislike...

That child is entitled to everything his dad has earned, and his dad should be proud to provide it.

There are waaay to many deadbeat dads in this country. It's a shame that pro athletes in general have not been taught the value and importance of fatherhood. No wonder they arent worth watching. They dont have a clue how to be a role model for a child.

Well, yes. Fortunately, his mom seems to have her head screwed on, despite the obvious big boo-boo of having a baby with a dad to whom she wasn't married. Even sensible people do dumb things when they are young.

I hope he can make the most of the few advantages that having a famous, rich, absentee, playboy dad confers (about all I can think of is money, but maybe there are others). Maybe Matt will get his priorities straight soon enough to help this boy grow up.
