Look at what he said to the Falcons. It's a done deal. He's out before the season. I mean how can he come to any other conclusion?

I hope his career is over if found guilty. These are serious charges against Mike and they absolutely disgust me. Why do these athletes continue to get into trouble with the law?

I can't believe they traded away Schaub....
Jake Plummer may get that starting job afterall. |

Good hopefully this is just the start of it and he either gets suspended for the whole year or takes a leave of absence for the year.

Oh, but just ask Falcon fans, Schaub wasn't that good anyways. He only played a couple of preseason games against 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Seriously though, this has turned into a very comical situation (Death and cruelty of animals aside). This went from a position of great depth in the offseason, to perhaps the weakest position on the team. With the first pick in the 2008 draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Brian Brohm QB out of Louisville. |

Mike Vick is about to endure the most colossal fall from stardom the sporting world has ever seen. Barry Bonds probably sleeps like a baby now.

Plummer might not be a bad idea for the Falcons, IF they can convince him to leave Idaho.

Can you imagine the pain of knowing that Joey Harrington is option 1? Oh sweet Jeebus I can't even imagine it. How about begging Jake out of retirement and trading picks to teh Bucs for him? It definetly sucks to be a Falcon fan right about now.

Jake wouldnt be a 1/2 bad option for them. Sure, he isnt Vick - but still very mobile QB.
And he isnt coming off any big injuries....usually pretty durable. I would take him over Harrington any day of the week - no brainer and a Plummer led Falcons likely have a better season than in Tampa Bay...maybe that might be an attractive situation for him? Interesting idea |

Maybe they can try and get Marcus so they will still have a Vick on the team and won't lose all that much money in jersey sales.

They knew better than anyone what kind of man Vick is and what kind of people and troubles he hang out with. They conveniently put their heads in the sand. If not for the dog fighting scandal I’m sure that sooner than later he would find another way to hurt himself and the organization. |

"Commissioner Goodell also directed the Falcons today to withhold any contemplated team discipline regarding the Vick matter until the NFL review is completed.
" By telling the Falcons what to do, I took it more as a "there is no need for you to make decision" because one has already been made. |

I thought Shaub was a better option for Atlanta.
They need a pocket passer, not a scrambling qb. |
