After reading a few recent threads from Bob, and the reaction to them I thought I would ask the question - do you really hate the Chiefs?
I remember a couple years ago when I went to Arrowhead (nine degrees outside) and watch Dante Hall torpedo us with the first kick return. I really didn't like Dante that day. I don't like Larry Johnson, but that's personal. I probably wouldn't like a guy with that attitude if he was a Bronco. I liked Priest Holmes, Roaf, and Shields and was glad when they were off the field. I like Tony Gonzales and Trent Green - they seem like good guys and they have had great careers. I'm just not a Chiefs fan and I hope when we play them that we drive their face in the dirt and embarass them, but it ain't no thang... But do you really "hate" the Chiefs? KC is actually a cool place, they have great tailgating and good fans. I just want to crush them twice a year but I don't hate 'em. I think the guy I don't like the most in the AFC West is Phillip Rivers because he pulled some offensive crap in our stadium last year that I thought was inappropriate. But I think he had some pent up aggression from the year before when we tooled him. Do 'ya hate the Chiefs? |

"Hate" is relative to the topic being discussed.
In the world of professional sports franchises, yes, I hate the chefs. But "hate" doesn't mean as much in this context because if, by some miracle, the chefs were in the SB - or even a championship game - I would probably rather they win than the Colts, Ravens or Patriots. So the "hate" is relative. Same with the bugeaters ... I want them to beat USC or Miami or Ohio State. In the REAL world of "hate," though, for example Wal-Mart, I would not cry too hard if their stores were looted or even destroyed somehow (if nobody was hurt), and unlike the chefs, I cannot imagine ever wishing anything good to happen to Wal-Mart. Now THAT'S real hate. |

I'm sure the cheifs "hate" the Broncos in the same manner due to players like Elway, Sharpe and TD to name a few. |

You should actually love the Chiefs. Herm Edwards is the coach. HERM EDWARDS!
There was nothing more satisfying than watching him mismanage games in his tenure with the NYJ. I miss Herm Edwards. Consider yourself lucky... |

I hate every single team other then the Broncos. Part of being a rabid fan is disadain for all that is not Bronco. I wish horrid pain and humiliation upon all AFC west foes and the Queefs are right at the top of that list. HEY PETERSON PUT IN A REAL FIELD SO IT'S NOT MUD COME NOVEMBER EVERY YR.

Yes. I hope they go 0-14-2 every single year. The two ties would be against the Raiders, who would also be 0-14-2.
The Chargers don't have enough history to hate them. I won't give them the respect of hating them. |

I hate the chiefs, I hate the fans( during the season), I don't like the during the off season. KC is a nasty town, too many trees, can't tell where the hell your going or where you've been. If the chiefs won the super bowl, I would make a razor blade slide and end up in a bottel of peroxide. Any questions?

I never used to, but since I joined this board, yes. The only teams I hate more are the Cowboys and the Pats.

I have enough hate to equally despise OAK, SD, KC, hell I still hate Seattle. By the way anyone who has a second favorite team, or the team I pull for after Broncos etc, is no true fan.

I know I hate the Raiders most of all. Back in 1997 we needed KC to lose late in the season to get a chance to take the division. They played the Raiders, Chargers and Seahawks after we lost to them. Any one of those games would have helped us but they won them all. The only game I couldn't root for them to lose? You guessed it. Even with the division on the line I couldn't root for the Raiders to win. I just couldn't do it. KC stomped OAK's ass and I enjoyed it.

I must say, I do not think I "hate" the mullets. I pity their poor, poor souls, and I admit that I mightily detest their fans who come here. Lately, the Sparkies' fans are becoming a pain, so I detest them as well.
Well, "detest" is just too shallow a word. If I dress it up a bit with "Extreme detest with severe prejudice", that might get a bit closer to the degree of detest I feel for them. Screw it. Yeah, I hate them. Along with the Faiders and the Sparkies are really getting up there on the hate scale..... |

The Chiefs do not deserve the hate of Bronco fans. They havent earned it on the field.
They are more annoying than anything else. |
