Good stuff TSG.

I wish you would have addressed the scheme change more in your Evals, especially for Bly and Paymah. Bly struggled more in DET due to Marinelli's cover two scheme, because his skill set is not in run support and zone that it mandates. Paymah will finally get to play press man coverage after two years of off man or off zone coverage. He is a solid tackler, but he played in a press man system in college at WSU and was very solid with that style of coverage. Where Paymah struggled, was in getting the finer points of zone coverage at the NFL level. He just had trouble playing in space and switching assignments pre-snap and in his zone. Hopefully, the new base scheme will highlight all the strengths of the top 4 CB's on the roster, including Paymah.

As for the other three guys, I have not had time to research them.

Thanks again for all the work.

I wouldn't be too quick to rule out Shoate. He does not have the great speed, but is a very good technician. I think that keeps him in the mix for the final spot

That will come as we get into Tc more, but you are exactly right. Bly was a fish ouot of water in the Cover-2 and seems to be perfect for Bates' system...

Thanks again for the insight....

TheSportsGuru, could it be possible for you to copy/paste them to the mane? I only have a pc at work, and I can't get to that site/most sites (or email them to me would be great). If not its cool, just thought I would ask!
