Default Cutler already has more then just a cannon

After watching that replay of the Bengals game, I picked up on a few things, or should I say, remembered a few things that many have forgotten about what kind of passer Jay is.

We all know he's got the cannon, and can deliver it fast and accurate.

What I also saw in that game was the nice touch, the pass to Schef where he lobbed it over the LB's head and hit Schef in stride.

He showed on that long TD pass to Walker that not only have a cannon, but he used good footwork to keep the rushing LB from going straight at him, sort of a quick "I might run" step, then right into the long missle.

And what about the toss he made to Marshall (not the long pass down to the goal line). It was a bootleg and he was quick to get outside and threw very accurate and fast on the bootleg.

This guy already can make a ton of throws. I think his growth depends more on when to tuck and slide and going through his progressions, and of course, learning more of the playbook.

If you ask me, he's the more well rounded passer between the top 3 drafted last year. Matt is good but we all know he doesn't have the cannon. I doubt he could have rolled left (well, since he is left handed, rolled right), turned his feet and threw a 50 yard strike to Marshall at the goal line with a rusher coming fast and hard. That release was wicked quick and that ball on the money, it could have been a little deeper but Jay did say Marshall's route was taking him right where he threw it.

I think this kid is gonna be the talk of the league and probably the most improved player of the year in the NFL this year.

That bomb is pure heater,i'd be willing to bet this kid can all out toss for 85 to 90 yards..Ya i know just sick isn't it,the thing is he has the acuracy and touch to boot...With some seasoning there will be nothing but pure domination to look forward too...Let the good times role..

Could you imagine plays where the WR route does't expect the ball until 70 yards down field...If they connect 1 or 2 times a game on that kind of play it is truely demorallizing to the opposing team and completely chages the complexity and stratedgy of the defence...Which potentionaly opens the running game and another brand of demorallizing...I'll conclude by saying my hopes are high for Cutler and the offence this year but im in it for the long hall and beyond....GO BRONCOS!!!

That play was simply amazing. To turn his hips, set his feet and launch that thing in a split second before he gets crushed, with accuracy that would make Petyon sit up, it was amazing. Not usually what you see from a kid with only a few starts under his belt.

DAMN I am so happy that we don't have to fuss about Plummer anymore. I'm totally frickin happy that Jay is here and he's gonna be a stud. We have waited a long time for a lagit QB since Elway retired. Damn long time. Here's to Jay winning some rings

The Broncos need to have Cutler lean on the running attack like a jab so that this kid can practice his knockout punch. I don't want Cutler carrying the offense until later in the season. This is still the NFL.

I don't think anybody is really sure what his limitations are. I think he surprised the coaching staff because he is already doing things better than they expected and more consistently.

This year the Broncos have a rare opportunity to steal some games. They have a lot of unknowns that work to their favor if they are steady. They have literally replaced key parts of their offense, defense and special teams.

Well as long as he continues to watch tape of the greats, live at Dove Valley, and be a leader like it has been reported, then I am going to be very excited. He already is doing the things that made the great ones great. Now if it translates then its going to be great!

Rumor has it that on one play last mini-camp, Cutler took a THREE-STEP DROP and threw the ball as far as he could throw it. It ended up flying just over 100 YARDS in the air. And as awesome as that throw was, what was even awesomer was that the throw was intended for Dominik Hixon, who was running a fly pattern - and THE BALL WAS UNDERTHROWN!

This kid already has a passing grade in sales and acting...Just look at how efficiantly he sold , and played out that 65yard play action boot to his left for Walker against the Cards... In just his 3'rd game...If that wasn't enough, the very next game against the Bongholes, he does another fine job on the playaction boot to his right this time.. Pumpfake during Walkers stop and go,and 45yard TD pass to Walker right in the endzone....This kid is an extremely fast learner and with TC just ahead, along with a year under his belt he will be more than just up to the task......Plus Shanahans drive to overcome the pit of mediocracity his offence dredged last year, has him more focused and commited ,since he graced this franchize with his headcoaching knowledge in 1995...

Yeah, and Hixon was on his 2nd lap around the world by the time it fell behind him.

to be the starter for this team, a cannon is good but a hose is better. let's hope this guy matures quickly.
