In 17 years in the league i think Marino had a total of 75 rushing yards, he was as pure a pocket immobile QB there ever was

Let me correct that he had 87 rushing yards and 9 rushing TD's

Yeah, Marino probably laughed seeing his name on the list. How the He77 could they shun the Duke for the top 10. I call BS !

They said Marino was a matador in the pocket and credited his feet for his throwing ability.

That, of course, is a Joke.

One area to look at to see how mobile a QB is would be Rushing Touchdowns. I mean you have to be a talented mobile QB to score rushing TD's in the NFL, RIGHT?

There were only 2 other QBs on that list that had more rushing TDs than ELWAY. Steve Young and Randal Cunningham. Thats it.

Elway had 33. Young had 43. Cunningham had 35.

That list is a ****ing joke. Elway was better than McNab.

Watch any game from the 1987 season and tell me who was better in the pocket than Elway.

Brings back memories of ELWAY running Figure-8's in the backfield until all the D-Linemen's tongues were hanging down to the ground...

If Marino makes it, Bledsoe must also.

I am, for one, surprised they didn't put Tom Brady in their top-5...

In that 86 game v Dallas, he made it a point to run around more to wear the d-linemen out.

Don Shula built great pass blocking O lines to protect Marino. It's funny that the NFL network gives Marino the credit. He normally had all day to throw. Every now and then he simply had to side step a defender. Marino's quick release was also a huge factor in him avoiding sacks. His mobility, or lack there of, had nothing to do with it.

Marino is next to Bernie Kosar on my list of least mobile QBs. Both of them would sometimes setup for the snap with one foot back to get a headstart in their dropback.

What, no Plummer?

Elway not being there is a complete joke. Whoever wrote that should start writing about volleyball or something.
Marino?

Tonight will be a telling sign in regards to NFL Network's disrespect of the Broncos.

Tonight's Top 10 is the Best Linebacking Corps of all time, in which Orange Crush should have no problem cracking.

For all the talk that the Broncos never got national respect, the Orange Crush Linebackers from 1977-1981 of Gradishar, TJ, Swenson and Rizzo/Evans were the talk of the league.

Every announcing team referred to them as the best Linebacking group in all of football back then.

But you watch they won't make it tonight.

This was already discussed, but not having Elway on there is a disgrace. Even if you hate the Broncos he still has to be somewhere on that list.

I'm not as surprised by his absence as much as I am by Marino's inclusion. It's insane.

I laughed when I saw this earlier in the year. No way is Marino more nimble in the pocket than Elway, Aikman was as mobile as Marino. They must have taken account of sacks, since Elway at the time was sacked more than any other QB, and Marino got rid of the ball quicker (blow the whistle! Blow the whistle!)

NFL network is a complete joke. It's all fluff. Soon they will pull all the rights to their stuff highlights included to their channel, and the entire NFL will be PPV. Even the radio broadcasts will be on satellite.

Doesn't Elway hold like, the top 3 in rushing yards for a QB, all time? That, my friends, by definition is "mobility."
