I am always optimistic kind of person. Let's see. I would say now you have completely expanded your dating opportunities by many thousands and the circle of friendship now wide open.

Quiettiger (was just going to call you QT but that sounded all wrong), you have become the new Mock, man. You're everywhere! You're right, though. I try to be optimistic as well but the mind is no match for pure emotion sometimes. On a side note, i have every intention of making her mine again when i get back home. Until then: Australia, Hawaii, Japan in no particular order.

I like Branch a lot, especially her voice...and I agree, she is very attractive. I'm not so big on The Wreckers stuff, but I think very highly of her solo work and feel her tracks recorded w/ Santana are brilliant. My fascination with KT Tunstall has overtaken her a bit these days, but that doesn't diminish my admiration of Branch one iota. |

So you're a Va native? If the place wouldn't have been so damn hot and muggy and a breeding ground for mosquitos, I probable would have stayed there longer. Everyone kept trying to tell me "you'll get used to it", but after 13yrs I gave up trying. I go back to visit old friends and do a bit of fishing about every 2nd year and do love all the trees. |

From what I read he said it'd be a low E. Which seems really odd.

Well..if he did it as it's "supposed" to be...it would be a G...but the low E gives you a doubled up/octive sound. I actually do this with my 7 string from time to time, but in that case it would be an additional low A string. Does that make sense to you? Either way it's really more for Jazz playing than anything from my experience.

I just can't wrap my mind around extra strings. I get around on SIX pretty damn well, and I've used numerous different tunings, at least on acoustic (I used to play at Borders Books in Santa Monica, Brentwood and Beverly Center) ... but a seventh string hurts my brain to even think about. If you want that throaty "Iron Man" sound, just tune down like Iommi or Van Halen. What's so hard about that? At least that doesn't hurt my head ... ![]() . |
