Your stats for Rod Smith are not for Rod Smith.

I think you can include Scheffler here as well because I believe we will see this dude lining up split wide on occassion with Graham on the line. He has the speed to stretch defenses as a reciever considering how big he is. I'm salivating at the thought of a double TE formation with the versitility to instantly become 3 wide and watch a safety or nickle trying to cover this kid. Hixon will make an impact in the return game but if Stokley or Smith are healthy I think he'll have to wait a year for his spot as the #3 WR. We're in good shape here and Marshall IMO will be a stud this year.

I strong doubt both Smith and Stokley make the team. Neither can play ST at this point of their careers and you cannot have 3rd or 4th WR not play ST with limited depth you have on all teams the days.

Good article Guru!

I think we all see the potential that this group has, but at the same time we all see the question marks on this group. Only time will tell on what will happen, but I am excited to see what they can do this year and years to follow with all the talant and depth we have at this position. Not to mention the new guys learning from guys like Walker, Smith and Stokely. We have a nice mix going on in the wr bracket. Add that to Cutlers arm, and our run game with Travis Henry who will just open things up for the passing game, our air attack can be top 5 in the league.

Man, I can't wait to see this offense. It's going to be awsome!

Dude, you didn't put Hixon #1. I hope you have a real fat life insurance policy.

...I knew someone here at the Mane would say that.

Hixon is solid and he'll get his chance to show that....

I stick by my fellow Zip alums....

I like your depth chart as well, but, I think Kircus will make the team pending on the legal issues. (I have no clue if they had been resolved or not.) But based on his play from last year, I think he makes it. I know he only had a few catches last year, but I just remember them being important cathes. One of them was for like a 12 yard gain in OT against the Chiefs, when our offense wasn't doing anything all day, and he made a play. Then the third and long against the pats, and another against the chiefs in arrowhead. Plus he had a nice vibe going on in the pre season with cutler, maybe they can get that going again now that Jay is at the helm. Also, the guy is super fast and could be nice for a KR and PR.

I haven't heard anything about Marshall during the off season, other than the cell phone incident. Does anyone know if he still has a strong relationship with Chris Carter, and whether he had been working out with Carter prior to the OTAs?
I really like his physical size, but was also impressed with how he goes after the ball when it is in the air and doesn't wait on its arrival. I remember him grabbing a reception over two defenders, that was called back due to a penalty, during last season. I think he will really be a stud at the #2 this year and can't wait for camp to start to witness his progress.

Expect a lot of YAC from Marshall, the guy is TOUGH to bring down, as he showed more than once last season. If he stays healthy he'll be VERY VERY good.

My depth chart for wr is as follows:

Hixon
Hixon
Hixon
anyone else.

I can see Hixon split wide on both sides as well as flanker on whatever side he chooses.... ofcourse at the same time. Might as well pencil him in as the starting Qb as well.

Hixon's a nice guy and he thinks Cutler's a good kid, he'll let him stay at QB.

Its kinda like how Hixon is going to let Champ play D with him next year. Its not really needed but hey, Champ's a hard worker and Hixon respects that.

Who knows, I hear Hixon is even going to let Walker catch a TD! Such a nice guy. I mean he's going to shatter the all time scoring record this year anyways, whats 6 more points? No one will be able to break it anyways.

He's like Ghandi, Jesus, Chuck Norris, and Superman rolled into one. We're so damn lucky to have him.

I think Rod Smith is going to come back and be a legitimate threat out there. If the Broncos get two years out of him that would actually do a lot for Brandon Marshall career as well as Cutler's.

I cannot recall the Broncos under Shanahan ever having this kind of depth.

I hope Hixon is a great return man / Wide Receiver - A real double threat guy for the Broncos would be such a win.
