I always have better luck scoring decent tix from ticketmaster when they release the visiting team allocation a few days before the game. Using that method, I've found that there are always pairs available, and they're almost always in better sections than the garbage they release over the summer.

What's the deal with half priced tickets? Why are they half priced? Are they in undesireable sections? What?

Trust me - I do. I've got the Comcast connection and always get through on my first click within 5 seconds of their actual release. And, in the past, I've had SOME luck with getting pairs of Broncos tix (I can always get single seats or pairs in the club level); but that was before they instituted this new "mostly single seat" program that many teams seem to be employing now.

For the Pats/Broncos game here at Gillette, the Pats even admitted that the only pairs you could get from the first release of tix were standing room. Otherwise, you're stuck with single seating scattered throughout the stadium.

For the playoff game Pats @ Broncos, I used ticketmaster and got face value tickets in lower level just 12 rows off the field....two of them next to each other! That was PURE luck!

For all other games, we've had luck getting them from ticketmaster close to each other.

The half price tickets are some sort of requirement that was built in when they chose to build Invesco. The tickets are all of the stadium. The only catch is that the purchaser is the ONLY person that can pick up those tickets and they MUST go directly into the stadium. There is also a limit on number of tickets and I believe you can only purchase half price tickets for ONE game a season.

When the stadium was funded with tax dollars, part of the agreement was that 2,000 seats per game would be available to the average Joe and sold at half price.

I get them almost every year - they are usually close to the top of the stadium, often in ther north end zone. But they are a bargain.

STG - You can get a maximum of 4 tickets. So you can get four for one game or two sets for two games. But you are right, you have to show ID and go straight into the stadium which prevents scalpers from getting them.

Hopefully I will be able to hit up a couple of games this year. Right now though I don't know what games because of my work and school schedule. I am definatley planning to go to a playoff game if we host one though.

They usually are available for pick-up prior to the public release of tix. Mid-July!

I may end up flying out for one. Do ta recommend I wait for the day they go on sale and see what I get prior to booking a flight OR should I just get the flight now cuz rates are low and overpay for a certain game on stubhub or ebay?

Wrong! You can only get a max of 4 tix and a max of 1 game. That's per household. If you read the small print it states that if you buy more than one game, the others purchases can be nullified by the Broncos/ ticketmaster.

Looks to be the Green bay game. $245 round trip from Pitt to Colorado Springs. It's much cheaper to fly into CS and we would spend plenty of time there anyways.
