There are tensions brewing over moderator functions on this board. I feel that sometimes vendettas maybe interpreted as action taken by people on this board. Now i'm not privy to all information available to a certain
situation(s), so i'm only making an appeal based on my own facts taken.

If there is an issue about a poster's behaviour, that person needs to have action taken. I think one reason things are boiling over (specifically about slap v. garcia) is the lack of information available to as why he was banned, etc.

Maybe this would be a good time to vent our issues/frustrations and resolve them in a manner that isn't childish, etc.

Thanks,

Josh
The Mods do a fine job they just need to lighten up on avatars!!

Actually this forum is loosley moderated and it's just about perfect. I mean if you want the Mods to loosen up more go to any raider forum. Those places are just ridiculous and they are nothing but name calling and 12 letter words.

General board is for civil discussion and maybe some friendly banter but if two people need to tear into one another they can do it in the smak forum. The upside is it's totally understood that that forum is for smak so if someone has thin skin they shouldn't even enter it. Simple solution.

An FAQ section of expectations of board conduct and thread moving, political threads etc might help?

Just brainstorming here....
It's a great idea that works well. I belong to Mecks other board and believe me, with a forum for ALL teams, a smak forum was necessary. Some of the fighting that goes on there can get down and dirty and downright nasty. Of course, theres banter back and forth on the regular boards and the mods don't get power trippy and move it, unless it gets out of hand. Then it gets moved. It works well to keep the crap off of the main boards and in it's place.

Or a subforum on here somewhere. It can be made private so you have to ask for access to it, or just a subforum that you can avoid if you don't want to go there. Or, just go there for comic relief..

In regards to Garcia - he and i have had differences and sometimes i think certain threads get to hang on the main board that are beyond stupid and myopic - but my ire just gets redirected that people don't care about important (or what "I" deem important) issues.

But personally - i've had no real issues with garcia - he trolls no less than i do at times.
People have always had a place to be open about issues on this message board. That place is the message board.

Slap was banned for being a cockmunch by Garcia the mod, not Garcia the troll. Beerslug whines because his political threads are moved to the appropriate forum. Mods will from time to time move political threads of great importance to the main forum for a short period of time, or allow some important political threads to remain on te main forum but generally leave propaganda threads relegated to the propaganda forum. Beerslug whines about this because Garcia enforces the rules.

militia is right, the offseason is ****ing gay around here.
Holy $hit, I NEVER thought you would be the voice of reason around here.

I strongly agree. Garcia must be a nepotism hire; his selection certainly can't be based on merit.

Question...can anybody point out one thing against Garcia with actual proof?

TJ created him as a mod and that's good enough. It's his board and his decision who to make a mod. If you don't like it, then leave. Simple as that. Besides your post count I sincerely doubt those that are complaining have donated anything to this site.

Excuse me while I leave before a mod traces my IP address

I hate to see that Garcia (my hispanic friend) was removed from being a Moderator. I don't post all that often, I get my news here for my team and love the banter. However, if by doing your job you loose it then it's not worth the job. I may or may not continue to visit due to this issue. Good luck Garcia, see you soon.

I appreciate everyone's kind words. It is true that this is TJ's site, and he has decided to remove me as moderator. I am okay with that, and hopefully everyone else will be as well. I have never...ever...ever, ever, ever done anything wrong as a moderator or as a poster, and just about everybody knows it. Really...I am all about enjoying the Broncos and as I put it to someone else the other day...I have even changed my life around to get a better view by moving to Denver. No hard feelings or grudges to be had. It's just a message board.

I'll be in and out from now on...and really...every problem is an opportunity in disguise.

You'll probably enjoy the Mane more now that you've relinquished your message board 'pepper spray'. Go Broncos!

What is it about sharing confidential info outside of the circle of moderators that TJ was referring to in his post/ explanation?

Not poking, but your comment implies removal without cause!

I don't have a problem discussing it.

I forwarded a message on to five people that was addressed specifically to me regarding a "disturbing email" about some entity starting a mass move of posters to another site. It didn't actually have anything to do with SLAP being banned from a moderator discussion perspective. More from a fallout of banning SLAP than anything.
