Just want to know what you think about Roswell and Area 51. I saw a show about what did or didnt happen in Roswell 60 years ago on National Geographic and I just wondered what you thought about it.

I like your creative spelling. I don't mind the question. As a child I was a brat. I grew up in a military family. My father was a career USAF intelligence officer. In fact, at the time of his retirement he was the No 2 man in the OSI, the AF's Office of Special Investigations. In the 1980s I used to think the Ufologists were a bunch of wackos. However, back in around '94 I had heard enough on coast to coast AM (the old Art Bell radio show) that I became curious. So I began to look into it. I did some extensive reading. Charles Berlitz's book THE ROSWELL INCIDENT had a major effect on me. I thought the author did a nice job of exhuming the story. So did the more recent book by Col Phil Corso, THE DAY AFTER ROSWELL. Corso was a nat'l security advisor to Dwight Einsenhower -- and he tells a story in his book -- a deathbed confessional -- that will stand your hair on end. Anyway, I confronted my father -- because if you know anything about Roswell -- you know that the OSI was supposedly involved in the cover up. My dad went upstairs and came back and showed me a piece of aluminum foil material that he said was a piece of the alleged weather balloon that, according to the official story, was mistaken for a UFO at Roswell. Well, I knew right then this was not right. Berlitz did a nice job of debunking this fairy tale about the weather balloon in his book. I concluded that my dad, who was not an agent but an administrator, was out of the loop. He did not have a "need to know" and so was fed the familiar cock and bull story -- and he swallowed it. My dad was not one to question authority. Anyway, in 1998 someone posted the MJ 12 (magic) Documents on the internet. These US gov't docs were leaked to someone in the Ufology community in the 1980s and another batch in the 1990s. I downloaded them and studied them. Magic was the secret security code at that time -- supposedly way way above "top secret" If the pdf files do not exceed the limits of this board I will post a few of them here. You can make up your own mind -- as I did. If you search via google you should be able to find the whole lot of them. I believe they are still available on the web. No one has debunked them -- so far. They look bona fide to me. MHG |

Most of the docs are too large for this board. But here is one.

Looks like the file didn't upload properly. This is a 1998 file.
You can view some of the MJ 12 docs here http://www.majesticdocuments.com/doc.../1948-1959.php |

There are more docs here. If you want to understand Roswell -- these docs are the place to start.

Thanks for responding Ghaff. On the Nat'l Geographis show they had explained away the tinfoil wasn't part of a weather balloon but were these weird lil triangular pieces of espionage monitoring **** hooked onto a balloon that was used to spy on the Russians or something. Seems pretty believable to me.
Personally I think it was just our top secret top grade new weapon **** that you did not want anyone to know about but somewhere inside me wants the whole ufo crash story to be true. Don't know when Ill have the time, but Ill try to read some of those mj12 docs. So, in your opinion, do you think the aliens crash landed here? |

Let me put it this way. As Hamlet said "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt in your philosophy..." Or as the Jesus allegedly said: "In my father's house -- are many mansions..." |
