Which is the BEST Broncos Offseason Ever??? - The Orange Mane

Khan was saying how this offseason has been pretty awesome despite the DW and DN tragedies. I have to agree. Bly, Graham, Henry and Ramsey are like a winning lottery ticket after losing everything you cherished. Plus, despite just 4 picks, we got a second 1st round talent down in the 4th, and did it all addressing our needs.

That got me thinking ... WHAT WAS THE BEST OFF-SEASON EVER?

I voted 1995. I kinda cheated Rod Smith's practice squad year by including him in 95 ... but Shanny was there to promote him, so.

I think there's good arguments for 67, 72, 83, 95, 06.

1967 b/c if it wasn't for Floyd signing with Denver, the Broncos might not be in Denver right now.

Well I'll tell which offseason it isn't.

2007. Those players have yet to play a down for the Broncos. Bad mojo to have that in there.

Acquiring John Elway is still paying dividends to this very day. It was an investment that helped the Denver Broncos to be foreseen as the attractive organization for players, coaches and the front office that it is today.

The later off-seasons might never have happened (like they did) if we hadn't acquired Elway, but one thing is for sure, that since we acquired Elway, those off-seasons DID happen. And a few of them were grande, especially the last two (in terms of additions). The last two off-seasons will land us with a superbowl victory in the near future, but we owe it all to getting Elway.

Darien Gordon, Tony Jones, Willie Green, Niel Smith, Keith Traylor, Derrick Dodge, Harry Swayne.

Pretty good in my opinion...

Floyd kept Broncos in Denver had to tip my hat to that.

Otherwise I thought 72, 73 83, 95 2006 were all good.
