brought to you by the MSA.
At the University of California, Irvine (UCI), a disturbing series of events is taking place. Last week, the Muslim Student Association (MSA) held a sick and twisted version of “Holocaust Memorial Week.” If you’re thinking of that little incident a half century ago with the Nazis and the Jews in Germany, you’re thinking a little narrow for the fellas in MSA. On Tuesday, their first speaker was Hedy Epstein, a Holocaust survivor (that would be the real Holocaust, a distinction that will be important later). Her topic was “Surviving the Nazis: Remembering is not enough,” which is not exactly a promising way to kick off a Holocaust Memorial Week. Usually such a talk comes at the end of a memorial week, after sufficient time has been given to sobering reflection on the tragedies of a troubled time. Epstein is a strong supporter of the Palestinian movement and has protested against Israeli action. On Wednesday, MSA brought in the Washington DC Muslim Cleric Abdel Aleem Musa, a notorious holocaust denier and outspoken supporter of Islamic terrorism. But rather than describe this despicable character and his murderous ideology, I’ll let him speak for himself. At UCLA in January 2001: If you were to say that the Soviet Union was wiped off the face of the earth . . . people would have thought you were crazy, right? The people of Afghanistan didn’t have the intellect or historical knowledge to know that they wasn’t [sic] supposed to wipe out the Soviet Union, is that right? … We saw the fall of one so-called superpower, Old Sam is next. At UC, Irvine on September 9, 2001: You think Zionism and Palestine is [sic] the only dictatorial power in the world? We’re telling you about apartheid right here in America. Not an apartheid of the 1960s, but an apartheid right now today. When you fight Old Sam, you are fighting someone that is superior in criminality and Nazism. At a rally on June 8, 2002: They are not suicide bombers, they are heroes. That's a part of our religion. Let's not become weak-boned and apologetic. Hannity and Colmes February 18, 2007: Hezbollah is a great movement and a great organization…Hezbollah are [sic] a good group of people practicing Islam. If Bin Ladin is a Muslim and if he is alive...I have to like him. While on Hannity and Colmes, this delightful fellow claimed Bush was responsible for the 9/11 attacks and refused to answer the straightforward question, “Did the Holocaust occur?” Maybe it’s just me, but he doesn’t seem appropriate for a “Holocaust Memorial Week.” To wrap up the three day event, Ward Churchill spoke on Thursday. You remember the guy; he was the professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder who called the people who died in the 9/11 attacks “technocrats” and “little Eichmanns,” questioning the injustice of their deaths. The ensuing uproar prompted an investigation, which produced allegations of plagiarism and academic misconduct. Ward Churchill is a despicable character and a fraud. His topic: “Manifest Destiny and the American Holocaust.” Some “Holocaust Memorial Week,” huh? The MSA is following up last week’s disgraceful events with “Israel: Apartheid Resurrected” this week. According to the itinerary on Facebook, events include “Zio-Nazis,” “The Trail of Tears—Roots of Israeli Apartheid,” “Antisemitism: The Zionist Façade,” Israel: A Mockery of Democracy,” “Terrorists, Freedom Fighters and the Holy Land,” and “The UC Intifada: How You Can Help Palestine.” Intifada: an Arabic term which, in political context, means “uprising.” After a two week-long discussion of how the Holocaust is overblown, how Israel is a fascist state, how anti-Semitism is a “façade,” the MSA at UC-Irvine is going to encourage an “uprising” on behalf of Islam. The speaker for the last two events is Amir Abdel Malik Ali. His speech for this event last year was titled “Israel: the Fourth Reich.” Among his many memorable quotes were the following: There’s a genocide happening in the Holy Land; there’s oppression happening in the Holy Land. And it must be fought, it will be fought, and it is being fought. The truth of the matter is your days are numbered. We will fight you; we will fight you until we are either martyred or until we are victorious. Oh, the Religion of Peace. http://www.news.faithfreedom.org/ind...ticle&sid=1285 |

Very nice find. Not surprising in the least from left leaning california, and NOT ONE complaint against these guys. Not one politician or civic leader stands up to denounce these idiots, that includes the so-called "moderate muslims". Well, there you have it, the real future threat to america and it's citizens...guys like this...dman

I used to work at UC-Irvine until 5 weeks ago.
The people representing the Muslim Students Union were the biggest set of idiots. Most muslim students and faculty I knew at UC-Irvine went out of their way to disassociate themselves with the MSA. The president of the MSA might be the biggest ego-maniac ever. I don't think he truly cares about religion and this sentiment was echoed by most muslims I worked with at UC-Irvine. |

And there were complaints. Even violence around 2 years back. I know because I was caught up in it as an innocent bystander. Lately less complaints because no one on campus even cares about the MSA and the idiots who run them. |

And then it's regurgitated the next week.... The only republican demonstration I've seen in the last 3 semesters, was a bake sale that used affirmative action as a pricing scale on their pastries. It was hardly as vocal, or condescending as any left-wing protest you'd see on campus. |

You quoted two statements. If you want an answer to one particular one the thing to try and do is quote it. But in either case they are both equally easy enough to comprehend. Of course, I realize some people on the right have a hard time understanding anything when common sense and logic is involved evidenced by aligning themselves with the Bush cartel.

I just finished a book that you would do well to read -- a tell all confession by a former energy consultant who for many years had connections to the NSA and to powerful US oil corporations. His name John Perkins. The book; CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HIT MAN. The book is a best seller and a riveting read. Perkins tells how he was recruited out of college to prepare economic analyses for developing nations -- for the pupose of getting control over the oil and resources in those nations. Perkins did much of the planning for the huge corporate bonanza in Saudi Arabia -- that happened after the 1973 OPEC embargo. The US, through the IMF and world bank, sucessfully integrated Saudi Arabia's 100% oil based economy to that of the US. This ended any chance that Saudi Arabia would ever again cut off the flow of oil. That may seem like a worthy goal in the case of Saudi Arabia -- but the same methods were used in many other nations with disastrous effects. The goal was always the same: to lure the leaders of poor nations into accepting huge loans they could never repay. When the nations defaulted the US then imposed economic "reforms" that were not reforms at all -- but a way of controling the oil and resources of those nations. This is also how we control their vote at the UN -- The scheme has benefited a tiny oligarchy in the developing nations -- the filthy rich -- while 99% of the people have been reduced to squalor. This is how US and international corporations continue to destroy the environment in many places -- while damning the vast majority of the world's population to poverty and hopelessness. The strategy has been spectatularly "successful" yet has been a catastrophe for the planet. This is the reality and it's high time you opened your eyes to the fact. |

You'll probably have to clarify for all of us when you are being sarcastic. Your post here smacks of similarity with the posts that have come before from you. So, were they all sarcastic too and we've judged you unfairly? |
