Kris Jenkins weighed in at 384 pounds....
Yikes...maybe trading for him would've been a bad idea after all.... http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm -------------------------------------------------------------------------- JENKINS TIPS THE SCALES AT 384 Raiders defensive tackle Warren Sapp has lost 49 pounds in the 2007 offseason. We now know who found it. A league source tells us that Panthers defensive tackle Kris Jenkins weighed in at last weekend's minicamp at a jaw-dropping (and raising . . . and dropping . . . and raising) 384 pounds. Jenkins is listed at 335 pounds. So that would put him at 49 pounds over his playing weight. Before the draft, the veteran run stuffer (and toilet clogger) was on the trading block. And it apparently broke. |

Wow. Well now he can take on triple teams. But seriously that is alot he has added on and will be hard to get back in shape. Maybey a big reason Shanny didnt trade for him.

Jeez! if he is normally plays at 335, I assume that that isn't particularly svelt. And now weighs about 385, I'd venture to say he is carrying 80 to 100 extra pounds of fat. Not going to help his quickness, speed or endurance. In addition it is putting a hell of a strain no his ticker. He needs to get it under control or he will be another who ate himself out of the league or worse. Training camp is going to be a b!tch for him.

That guy's a heart attack waiting to happen. Doesn't anyone care about the guy's health out there in Carolina? Geez.

Why is everyone assuming it is 49lbs of fat? He could have been in the Bay area working out 3x a day.

As two down double blubber he might of worked. Let's give up a conditional second day pick. Even if he's a 1 down player he would be a clogger. Like his turds. The problem isn't losing speed, it's stamina and the stress on the heart, knees, feet.
Remember Gilbert Brown in the SB? He couldn't even get up off the grass. Get off the grass Marcus Thomas! |

384? I'm thankful the Broncos didn't trade for him afterall. That's just ridiculous. He wouldn't last a quarter playing in Denver's altitude.

Damn!
I can't get over 132lbs. Was at 140, then started pumping iron but dropped weight rather than gained. I have no freaking appetite. |

So what if he's 100 pounds overweight? He's the best DT in the league in the one season out of three that he's healthy! No doubt in my mind, he'd take Denver to the Superbowl.

WOW! I was one of the ones Pimping him before the draft.
What a lard ass! He must have been on a diet of chocolate covered macadamia nuts ever since the pro bowl. Well, at least we took a young DT that has "Character Concerns" and not Cholesterol Concerns! ![]() |

Wrong. Jason in LA says you can do it, no sweat... and no steroids! Of course, he also says property owners are never liable for what happens on their property.

I'd still take him if they released him outright. Wasn't Wilkinson also said to be tipping the scales close to that also? If so, why not take the chance on Jenkins?
