Your work is amazing Pez. You need to move back here and put guys like Fielder in their place.

Aint that the truth.

Pez, do you do alot of touch up work on the computer or are most of your pics right from the camera? Either way man your work is awesome! What kind of camera do you use again?

I use to be really into photography when I was a teenager and over the years lost some interest in it, but when I see alot of Pez's pics it makes me want to get back out there and start doing it again. I use to take alot of nature shots. Flowers, animals, insects, scenary etc.. I think I still have some of the pics I use to take. I'll have to scan them onto the computer sometime and have you take a look at them Pez and see what ya think

Heh, for the most part, I shoot in .raw format and do post-processing after. Usually when I submit work to magazines, I can only send them sharpened photos and boost the levels before submission. And even then, some mags like Outdoor Photographer will require the original .raw format file or 16 bit .tiff file at minimum. So basically, most of my work is straight out of the camera.

However, in my opinion, the glass used for photos is the real key to capturing saturation and lesser quality glass can really be a hinderance to the quality of the color space used in photography. Personally I use AdobeRGB (aRGB) for my color space and then transfer it to sRGB for online content. aRGB is really excellent for color reproduction with printers at 300 ppi and keeps many of the colors true without losing tonality.

As for the camera itself, I carry the Canon 1DsMarkII DSLR 16.7 megapixel camera
As for lenses, I usually run around with the 16-35mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 70-200mmf2.8, 180mm macro, 300mm f2.8 400mm f2.8 and 600mm f4. I occasionally carry around prime lenses (24mm f1.4,35mm f1.4 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4) as well if I need extra sharpness or am working in low light situations.

For the most part though, if you are looking at getting an good starting level camera, you could grab a XTi and a 24-105 for less than $1500 if you are really wanting to bump up to an enthusiast level.

These are pictures from my trip to O'Dell Lake last weekend! I don't have a fancy dancy camera such as Pez's....so this is from my little itty bitty digital camera.

Sunset would have been beautiful there....however, I was passed out by the time the sun set that evening. Too many Lemon Drops that day!

Sure! and thanks...I'm sure some of the smaller plants will get dwarfed by the bigger ones...but we'll see how it goes.

You can't tell, but I have shasta daisies, cosmos, strawberries, mint, tomato, cinnamon basil, parsley, peppers, gerberas, lavendar, blush peonies, snapdragons, some orange flowers that look like daisies, lupine, day lilies, a bleeding heart, tiger lilies and stuff I don't even remember!
Not a bad for variety for my little space! Usually, I have it more organized but this time it's go with the flow look!

I like "different stuff" in my garden...
According to townhouse regs we aren't suppose to put fruits/veggies in...but what the heck...they flower more than some of my flowers do...I don't see what the difference is.
