Interesting. I think I can buy every one of them except LSD. I'm not seeing a benefit coming from LSD. I would also add that certain studies have shown that sex likely cuts down on the risk of prostate cancer.

I saw a study that showed that semen consumption was very good for women. It did all these wonderful things for their emotional well being. They didn't necessarily have to ingest the semen orally, but any which way it got into their bodies it had the same beneficial effects. I downloaded the study and tried to show it my wife and she just hit me. See? Even when you're trying to do them a favor...

Frequent sexual activity may reduce a man's risk of prostate cancer, according to a study in the April 7 Journal of the American Medical Association.
The cancer risk in men who reported more than 20 monthly ejaculations was 33 percent less than that of other men, the Harvard University study showed. Elevated testosterone has been tied to both a high sex drive and prostate cancer, which had led scientists to propose a link between cancer and sexual activity.

More research may help determine how sex might be protecting some men from prostate cancer, the investigators said. The results shouldn't be used to encourage intensified sexual activity, defined as ejaculation from intercourse, masturbation or during sleep, they said.

``Men worry that by being very active, they may put themselves at increased risk,'' said Michael F. Leitzmann, the lead researcher now at the National Cancer Institute. ``Looking at the data in a little bit more detail, our findings suggest that ejaculation may even be associated with a slight decrease in prostate cancer risk.''

Researchers surveyed almost 30,000 health professionals, 1,449 of whom developed prostate cancer, and found an active sex life wasn't linked to a higher cancer risk in most men.

There are several ways in which frequent ejaculations may protect against prostate cancer, the researchers said. The activity may flush out a buildup of toxins in the prostate, lessen development of tiny crystals linked to some cancers, and improve the immune system's response to cancer, Leitzmann said.

How It May Work

Ejaculation also may release psychological tension, quieting central nervous system activity that may contribute to prostate- cell division and cancer growth, the researchers said.
The scientists downplayed results showing frequent ejaculation appeared to reduce cancer risk because only 7 percent of men fell into the group reporting the most activity and just 59 of them developed prostate cancer, Leitzmann said in a telephone interview.

Almost all the previous research showed sexual activity increased cancer risk, he said. Those studies may have been biased because researchers asked patients to recall activities that occurred years earlier, before they were diagnosed with cancer and received treatment, which may interfere with sexual activity, he said.

Sweet, my prostate should be a fine specimen then. I've gotta show the wife that study on semen. I'll get smacked, like Rohirrim, but it will be sooooo worth it.
Sorry honey, we have to start a program for your mental well-being. I think that twice a day should do it. And just think of the benefits to me! This is a definite win-win if I ever saw one. Even then, like Wags said, I can have a medically appropriate excuse. 'Sorry honey, doctor's orders.'

One time when I was about 20, my future husbands niece, taught me a checker game called Kings. We played it quite a few times and she beat me handily every time. I could not get a method to the game to win. One night we took some LSD and before the game began I knew every move to make to win. I trashed her in that game and she was shocked because I'd never even come close before. It was a strange experience.

i can see how it all may be good for you in small amounts. i once read that smoking can be good for if you dont do it in excess and it doesnt cause stress.

not sure what the maggots do, but ok.

im a firm believer that roughing up the suspect on a regular basis is good for you. the other half however, doesnt see it that way.

as far as the semen good for women theory, i read that article too. i think it has something to do with the whatever-erone in it, affects the physiological make up of the female, in a good way, causing the "in love" mood

If this is true I'm not as bad off as my Doctor wants me to believe. (9 out of 10 is not bad).

Maggot-therapy. I think diabetics use sterile maggots that are grown in a dish and it helps heal their sores. They get nasty sores on their feet and they don't heal very well. Sounds weird, but it works....kind like bee sting therapy. I saw both of those on the same show....

What's with the Maggots
From the article:
Quote:
They're creepy, slimy and altogether ooky, but maggots can save your life. These squirmy larvae are science's newest wonder-cure and were approved in 2003 as the Food & Drug Administration's only live medical device. Placed on serious wounds, maggots mimic their "wild" lifestyle and munch on bacteria and dead tissue, stimulating healing and helping to prevent infection.
The interesting thing is that maggots will only eat dead stuff, they avoid
healthy, living tissue. These are also specially grown maggot that are raised
under sterile conditions so they don't introduce secondary infections.
