Yes, it's early but why not.....critique away......I know some are reaches.....but hell, figured I'd take a stab...biggest things were Moss NOT being a starter, and Thomas being one.
.....anyway, I think this is 53.....WR - Brandon Marshall, Rod Smith, David Kircus LT - Matt Lepsis, Ryan Harris LG - Ben Hamilton, Greg Eslinger C - Tom Nalen, Chris Myers RG - Chris Kuper, Montrae Holland RT - Erik Pears, Adam Meadows TE - Daniel Graham, Tony Scheffler, Stephen Alexander, Mike Leach WR - Javon Walker, Brandon Stokley, Quincy Morgan QB - Jay Cutler, Patrick Ramsey RB - Travis Henry, Mike Bell FB - Cecil Sapp, Paul Smith LDE - Kenard Lang, Tim Crowder, Elvis Dumervil LDT - Marcus Thomas, Alvin McKinley RDT - Gerrard Warren, Demetrin Veal RDE - Ebenezer Ekuban, Jarvis Moss, John Engelberger WLB - Ian Gold, Louis Green MLB - DJ Williams, DD Lewis SLB - Nate Webster, Cameron Vaughn LCB - Champ Bailey, Dominique Foxworth RCB - Dre Bly, Karl Paymah SS - Nick Ferguson, Hazma Abdullah, Curome Cox FS - John Lynch, Sam Brandon K - Jason Elam P - Todd Sauerbrun |

I think Holdman will make the team and be the starting SLB. I also think Hixon will stick as the punt returner. We will keep at least three backs as well.

I like Lang as a person, really down to earth team player. But, if our new guys don't beat him out by the end of training camp I will be stunned. My early vote is Crowder since he already shows NFL strength. Moss will come along, but he needs some strength.
Don't know why Elvis would be third? I think he will have the biggest year of all our ends. Bates scheme seems like it rewards his play. |

Nice. Only thing I'd change is taking Engelberger out and puting Mustard in .
Wouldnt be suprised if Jackson makes the team over Alexander either, we know he's shannys favorite roster leach. |

Hixon will make the team - probably at the expense of Stokley or Kircus. If Stokley can't play special teams and doesn't win the number three spot, he's gone.

I also believe Hixon is Shannys hidden return man/burner, I thought that we'd pick a WR for sure, but shanny said the top three targets were: Anderson, Harrel, and Moss

Put Myers at guard and Eslinger at center. Greg plays center, that's it.

I doubt Burger makes this team no need for 6 DE's.

I think Kyle Johnson makes the team too...with Sapp swinging from fullback/back up tailback. Look for Antwan Burton over Veal too. He fits the scheme

Nice.
Harris will outplay Eslinger. Nate Jackson is on the bubble or not. Kyle Johnson is on the bubble. Engelburger is on the bubble Mustard is gone. Holdman? Does Hamilton want to play Center eventually? McKinley signing seems really smart right now! Isn't Paymah good at man coverage? I hope he improves this year. |

Kenard Lang will not start. Look for Crowder, Moss or Dumervil to start there.
Add Kyle Johnson to the roster. He's valuable. Replace Morgan or Kircus with Hixon. He's our return man. I really think Cameron Vaughn can start at SLB. The fact that we didn't sign/draft any safeties tells me that the Coaches are really high on a certain play. Who is it? Brandon? Cox? Abdullah? One of them will be starting in front of Ferguson. |

I like what you have on the offensive side of the ball. I don't think there are a lot of questions on that side of the ball.
I would change things on defense a little. I don't think Webster is going to start. I think there's a better chance that Cameron Vaughn wins a starting job than Green, but the front runners are the two new signees. DJ will start in the middle. No way is Elvis behind Crowder and Lang. I agree with Thomas being the most likely rookie starter. I think he's the most NFL ready of the bunch, and he's an immediate upgrade over McKinley or any other DT we have. LDE-Elvis Dumervil, Ebenezer Ekuban LDT-Gerard Warren, Amon Gordon, Antwon Burton RDT-Marcus Thomas, Alvin McKinley RDE-Kenard Lang, Jarvis Moss, Tim Crowder WLB-Ian Gold, Warrick Holdman, Nate Webster MLB-DJ Williams, Nate Webster SLB- DD Lewis, Cameron Vaughn CB1-Champ Bailey CB2-Dre Bly CB3-Dominique Foxworth FS-John Lynch, Sam Brandon, Roderick Rogers SS-Curome Cox, Hamza Abdullah |

I think there's a good chance he doesn't. A lot will depend on how well he comes back from the knee injury, but he was borderline too slow last year and I thought both Cox and Abdullah looked good towards the end of last year.
If he comes back at the exact same level he was last year I think there's a chance he still starts, but I think if he doesn't there are guys with more ST value and upside who will steal his spot. |

If we have Kenard Lang and Ebenezer Ekuban starting at DE's, then this draft will have been a total bust. I think Moss starts opposite Ekuban, with Dumerville coming in on 3rd down passing situations for Ekuban. I also wouldn't be surprised if Crowder wasn't starting eventually next season.
