Default How do we look? A lot of uncertainty

Gambles aren't always good and I'm very uncertain about how Marcus Thomas will turn out, but I am very comfortable about our new DEs, and in any case we've attempted address the biggest area of need on this team, just my quick take on the team so far.

Areas of need/strong concern as of now: S-Linebacker

Areas of mild concern: Right OG, ILB (Will DJ pan out?), DT, S, WR

I think bringing in another DT prospect wouldn't hurt, Saftey as well, and certainly we need to look at some linebackers. Offensively, we've got so much youth, anyone we bring in should come with experience and stability.

Potential new starters on this team next season:

Travis Henry
Daniel Graham
Jarvis Moss
Marcus Thomas
Tim Crowder
Elvis Dumervile
DJ Williams (New Position)
Future SLB
Dre Bly

Relatively new starters with less than 2 years of starting experience at their position:

Erik Pears
Chris Kuper
Brandon Marshall
Jay Cutler
Tony Scheffler
Ebenezer Ekuban

Now, Between Ekuban, Durmeveil, Moss and Carriker, only two will start (not to mention lang) so that runs up the numbers on possible starters/new players. But as you can see we have 9 possible new starters with 6 guys with 2 years or less experience.

I think we definitely do have a strong team but theres definitely question marks on how everyone will do in the new position/team/system. Everyone's starting over, its going to be a fun year.

Crowder may end up the starting over Moss initially. Make no mistake, Moss will immedaitely help in the pass rush department, but he'll need to get stronger before he can be an everydown player. Crowder does not have much of a ceiling, but he is very polished and a solid all around player. It wouldn't surprise me if he won a starting job. Thomas has a great opportunity to start right off the bat with the lack of depth at DT. He'll have to beat out McKinley.

I'd have to say Crowder is my fav pick. I wouldnt be suprised he ends up taking a lot more total snaps this season than any other rook.

Well I want to say Elvis will definatley be one of the starters at DE, but it depends how well his run defense has progressed. With this guy crowder he also could be a starter because he is solid, and from what I have heard is pretty good against the run, so mayby he could be the starter untill third down, just because he's good against the run, then we could put elvis or moss to replace him. Then there is Moss, who should help us against the pass immediatly, but I have no idea how great he is against the run. Im just going to assume he is at least decenet. So the way I see it, I see Lang and Moss sharing time on one side, and crowder and dumervile on the other, unless dumervil has progressed well enough to be solid against the run, then elvis will be the full time starter at one side, and crowder would go in to spell him once in a while.

As for the DT's, I think Warren and Thomas will definately be the starters.
