If you disagree with the pick, submit your name in here so when you see what Jarvis Moss is really about when the season starts we can all see who the overreacting and dumb fans are...
And let's save the thread. |

I hate the trade and don't care for the pick. Somebody needs to get fired over this!
Combined with the fact that we missed out on the trade of the decade, this has ruined my draft, my day, and all of the positive momentun going into the offseason. |

Could of traded down and picked up Cleveland's 1st for next year which very well could be a top ten pick

2 Things People Need to Stop Complaining About:
1. The trade with Cleveland. NO ONE knows we could have had that trade happen. What if they didn't call us? What if they didn't realize they could have established the trade until it was reported KC wanted him? We made our trade at the 17th pick, that was very earily and Quinn was a ? at that time. Stop with this we should have traded for Cleveland BS, it didn't happen and we might of not even had the opportunity. 2. Moss would have dropped to #21. Kiper said he was on Titans board. Bates wanted Moss most likely because of the similarities to Jason Taylor. Again, stop saying he would have dropped because YOU DON'T KNOW, AND it was reported he was going to be selected by the Titans. |

Well, if he turns out playing like Jason Taylor, we'll all look stupid if we complain. I thought they could have stayed in the same location at 21 and got him. Just my opinion.
Dallas made out like bandits though, no doubt about that. |

It was reprorted the Titans were going to take Moss...this is a great pick and he can be our Jason Taylor. Now we need that big guy in the middle

A lot of drama queens popping up on here, you'd think they'd cancelled the Lifetime Network or something with all the hysterics.

Quit comparing him to Jason Taylor. Taylor is one of the strongest players in the league pound fo pound and a hard worker. Moss is a stringbean who gets owned at the point of attack because he's not strong enough and ha a questionable work ethic. I would have rather we just paid the price to move to #10 for Willis or else moved down for more picks instead of moving up for a guy who would have been there anyway and who has both character and health issues.

It's funny seeing footsteps whine when he's just making crap up based on what he's read and not on what he's actually seen. Moss is going to be a premier pass rusher, and it's going to be funny pulling this thread up in two years seeing who the no-nothing whining fools were.

I don't mind the pick just hate trading up 4 spots. Could of grabbed Branch, traded back, or even Moss could of been there. Spencer wouldnt of been a waste either. Have nothing against Moss ,as he is the best pass rusher right now with the quickest step off the line and will make an impact at minimum 4th down, but don't like giving up the 3rd rounder to make the move.

But, it IS also accurate to say that he's NOT like Taylor in the strength dept. Moss is well known as a guy who needs to bulk up, and lacks upper body strength. Taylor is absolutely freakishly strong, particularly upper body strength. So, in that regard, the comparison isn't totally accurate. But, the OVERALL idea that Bates wants a disruptive, speed-rusher (like Taylor) is right on the money, imo. |

Popps, Moss had a staph infection a couple of years ago that really hurt his strength. He is over that now and he will get stronger. That will not be an issue.

Moss is a hell of an athlete, but his 'interview' w/ Pat Kirwan on Sirius left a bad first impression... thats my only knock on the dude. But Personally I was sorta on the Branch bandwagon... Maybe Shanny still wants to pursue Jenkins

Hes a pass rusher, and you cant teach that. Pass Rushing is a natural talent, and i am sure Bly and Bailey are thrilled at this aquisition. If we get Jenkins for the 3rd, this was a successful draft.
JeMarcus, get ready for the experience from hell w/ Dumervil and Moss coming off the edge w/ Bly and Bailey at the corner positions. |

Considering what it cost the Broncos for a second round talent, I'm happy with the pick. 1-3-6 for a second round player
The good news for Denver fans is they wont have a 3rd rounder to throw at a Maurice Clarret. It's a blessing in disquise. |

I love the pick personally.
Pass rushing DE from the defending national Champ Florida Gators. Played in high profile games, got thin due to staph infection but can bulk up. Has natural abilities probably greater than Jason Taylor had. If he has the heart, he could be a beast for us. This is very much in line with what everyone was saying Bates was looking for in a DE, and if Bates wanted him and he has received so much praise around here as a top notch DC, then I am ecstatic with the pick. Mostly, Im just happy we got ourselves a DE in the first round instead of dickin around. |

For what?
I pretty much got my message accross. Did I not? You folks struggle with your response to me. I'm not sure why. It's pretty general innocent smack. Here's a thought. When you fish, your baiting someone. This was an in your face sort of statement. Your response is not required. Thanks though. |

Despite limited reps until 2006, it is rare to see him get faked out … Learns with normal reps and is a self-starter who puts in the extra hours after practice
Gotta like that. |

I don't particularly like the pick, and I definitely don't like trading up to get him. The need for a pass rush is undeniable, but after Willis and Okoye were gone (and a trade up was out of the question) a trade down would have made sense. Once Quinn was still on the board, we could have gotten a Moss-esque guy at the top of round 2 and got added value later. I normally don't like trade downs, but it seemed all the 'targets' were gone.
Too much paid to get moss. (unless he's Jason Taylor Jr., in which case it was brilliant) |

Such pessimism.
Doesnt matter who we pick, we gamble. Moss has strengths and weakness, same as every other player in the draft. He was one of the three targeted players, we got him, be happy. |
