When I have a little time off in the mornings about 10, there is nothing I like better than a nice blueberry scone and a good cup of coffee from a little coffee shop here in town. It is not real expensive, and it makes my morning while I read the paper....
Priceless.... |

I'm not going to marginalize the loss of Wilson. You can't just rip the heart and soul out of the defense inside and not feel it.
His play did drop off last year, but now we have a glaring hole. Sure, we can move D.J. to the middle and create another hole at Sam. As much as I would like Antonio Pittman at 2, his 4.4 time at pro day will likely make him an early second rounder. This HAS to be a defensive draft. We can run more 4-2-5 but that is in passing downs. That's three casualties this offseason. At least Wilson isn't dead. He doesn't seem like a Pacman and should have a healthy chunk of change for the rest of his life. Pacman is just plain pathetic. He was involved in a multi-million dollar drug bust, he claims he was robbed for over 200k, he's facing felony obstruction, and the "make it rain" fiasco that left a man paralized is still pending. Just feeding your posse to pimp your ego has to be expensive. Three days after his suspension, he was spotted in Vegas again at a strip club and casino. Look at the difference between Wilson and Pacman. Pac think he can put out a disiengenuous full page "apology" and Al Wilson has one that was genuine and that thanked the Bronco faithful. He doesn't have to apologize for anything. As Marge pulled a Sonny (Godfather 1) on the Simpsons when she got 6 pack abs and confronted the mugger who stole her cheapo necklace, she remarked after beating the living hell out of the guy. "You've been marginalized". Then she kicked him one last time. Classic episode. I think Al Wilson has been "marginalized" as well. Was he living off rep? So do half the players at the pro bowl. If we don't get Briggs or Jenkins I'm going to be pissed. Two glaring needs with pretty young, impact players coming into their primes. Last edited by watermock; 04-26-2007 at 03:14 PM.. |

Probably. It's a transitional period and the Broncos don't have the type of players for Bates' scheme. LJ will set records against Denver this year.

It's possible. Not because our D looks to be horrid on paper this year, but because the rest of the West looks solid. San Diego is loaded on defensive talent, KC's D has been on the rise the last few years and as crazy as it sounds to praise anything coming out of Faider town... their D was actually good last year too.
Assuming no drastic unforseen declines happen, our division's top D will prob grade out with an A performance, 2nd and 3rd will chime in with Bs, and last place will come up with a C+. I don't see any team with a weakness. Who knows though. I think the combo of Bailey+Bly will be deadly, the LBs are still solid, and with the return of our best D-lineman from last year's injuries should bump our line up to atleast average. On paper I see a B/B+ quality defense, with reasonable potential to move up to A quality... depending on the effect our new coordinator will have. p.s. im lazy and didnt read any replies so maybe this was already said 20 times. |

The fact this thread was moved here reinforces the notion that you folks aren't the good sports you contend to be. In an effort to show that I can talk football I started this thread. While I made a conscious effort not to retaliate to those trying to bait me into a smack down, this is the reward for being a good citizen.
It didn't work when I 1st came to this board, and it doesn't work now. |

Hotrod I don't normally endorse quoting people on ignore, but that comment was funny. I gotta say Crazywhore is pretty stupid. Someone shuts his trolling down and then he feigns offense and/or suggests we are too chicken. That might have worked in middle school...on idiots.

I heard the Chefs traded a past top ten DT pick for nothing (yet) i.e. future pick.
Whose really in trouble on D? I hope Ty Law plays like he did against us last year. Sperm is moving so many guys around on Their D that I cannot keep up with the new faces over there. I miss the RED KNIGHT. The DUI guy is above average. |
