Default A Stupid Question.......

This may be a bit late in the process for this question, and I am sure it may sound a bit naive to some, but:

What is the purpose of the mock drafts? Is it to predict whom the various teams will select?

Or is to tell whom the mocker (heh, heh) would like a team to pick?

Or is it a list of whom the mocker would like to pick?

Or is it a list of whom the mocker thinks should be picked by teams for some other reason?

It seems strange to me that some people get real chippy over different picks made by different people for different teams, when the specific goals of making a mock are not known. Some people put out mocks just because it would pi$$ someone off.

What do you think?

A. The teams official mock is to gage what the other teams might be doing.

B. Everyone else's mock drafts are mostly silly guess's mixed together with beer and for the most part wrong.

It is done for football fans like us with no lives. It keeps us interested in the game during the long offseason.

I don't know that it doesn't have a legitimate use. Look how odds on betting are figured; However many bettors you have starts changing the odds, and they're usually pretty damn spot on. Put together the odds of certain players going to certain teams drawn from a hundred mocks or so, and I'll bet you wouldn't be too far off. Anyway, my mocks are pretty good, but I'm amazed at some of the crap I see elsewhere.
