The Broncos draft a gaurd named Dan every ten years. This is the year, and we will draft Dan Santucci from Notre Dame.

The Redskins have a shot at it this year if they play their cards right...

Broncos did a good job turning the 2nd round pick into Tony Jones, who was a force during those 2 Super Bowls....

Ricky Nattiel had one of the best seasons for a rookie WR I have seen. He was a major force in 1987. He was very important that year especially withy Vance's injury. Nattiel had a great AFC Championship game against Cleveland.

In 1989 Nattiel suffered a broken kneecap and he was never the same again.

His 1987 stats
1987 den | 12 | 2 13 6.5 0 | 31 630 20.3 2 |

31 receptions and 20 yard average was great. Great production for a 3 WR especially a rookie. You have to remember 3 games that year were played by strike players. So he got his 31 receptions in 13 games.

Nattiel was also tough. He broke his wrist in 1987 and had to play with it. He was in pain in a home game against NE but still came up with big plays.

I'll never forget the first play from scrimmage for the Broncos offense in SB XXII......50+ yard bomb from Elway to Nattiel for a TD.

At that point, I think everyone thought that Denver was going to win the game....probably easily.

Oh yeah. My mom at that point said "I hope Denver doesn't beat them too badly."

I have never forgiven her for that remark.
