AP sportwriter 04-25-07 Will the Broncos steal the whole draft? In a stunning development from Dove Valley the Broncos have seemingly made a play for every pick in the first round. In return they have offered the other 31 teams every pick the franchise will ever get in the future. Broncos plan on selecting 2 qbs, 14 cbs, 10 wr, 3 OL, 2 punters and a partridge in a pear tree. |

Do we still keep our 2nd and two 3rds? I bet people won't like that if we have to give up the rest of our first day picks.

I think this just might work. Seriously has there been a trade we haven't been linked too ?

B-B-But next years draft class is supposed to be great I don't want to give up our future picks for everyone this year. Can we keep the first 16 picks and trade the other 16 for first rounders next year?

If a 2nd round pick this year is about equivalent to a 1st next year.. that'd mean a 3rd this year is worth a 1st two years from now... follow that logic enough and we could have all but the 2-6 picks and have all our picks back in a few years... I think I just hurt my brain. ![]() |

I don't know if this will work out or not. I heard after all the trades are final and the draft starts, we are trying to trade our 10th to move up to #1 but the Broncos are asking too much for that #1 pick. They want next years 1st and 2nd for it, so looks like we are keeping #10 and #1. That sucks.

I wonder if this trade goes through for all 32 picks if Denver will make everyone wait in anticipation and won't announce who they pick until pick 32 is on the clock. They can pull what the Vikings did and let time run out but don't have to panic since they have the whole first round. Then Roger Goodell can come up to the podium and say "With the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.....31st and 32nd pick the Broncos select" and then start rattling off all the names.

Not one of you has talked about where the partridge will play. I hope special teams we need some help there.

I always figured that the partridge would be more like a player/coach and help out where needed but act as more of a leader and mentor on the sideline.

Pros- Well grounded and used to being hunted. Tasty broiled or baked. He also has a deep chest and stout body. Uses this deep chest well to propel himself quickly across the fields.
Cons-Doesn't fly to ball very well and is good only is short spurts. Probably best suited as a 3rd down back, or maybe a return specialist. |

I'm not sure we have the cap space for such a transaction.

It really depends on the size. Like these can be our new DTs. They can come in on running plays.
