Default Where do you go for Music Info?

I am curious guys- where do you guys go to find out stuff about new releases, new music coming out... i am talking all kinds from jazz, blues, hip hop, rock, metal, techno/electronic, pop (basically anything but country)...

are there websites out there you guys go for this stuff or mags that you subscribe to? i remember i used to go to a great website for metal music but it was shut down years ago...

AMG.....go to the All Music Guide. It's a great reference point for any type of music.

If you're looking to be exposed to something new in all areas of music...and you're lucky enough to have Ovation on your cable package, keep an eye out for Later....With Jools Holland. It's a show that proves once again how far the British are ahead of the USA in terms of music programming. The premise here is to have five stages with different musical acts on each one, each performing a song after the other. It's great and it's also great to see different musicians of different genres getting off on each other's stuff in a live setting.

Ovation is running a marathon of this show this weekend and it appears to be the 2004 season from what I can tell. Check out the following link for what kind of lineups they have each week.

I wish we had a show like this one.....it's frickin' brilliant.

Although the forum for this site is full of elitist douchbags the actual Encyclopdedia of bands is pretty damn good. Its only for metal music but it is very extensive with info on the bands listed.
