A buddy of mine that I played ball with in high school sells sports memorabilia. He pays all these athletes thousands for private signings (Urlacher $80/sig Peyton $150/sig) and basically bs's with em for a couple hours. He always tells me stories about these guys being cool, down to earth guys or total egomaniacal jerks. He recently did a signing with Russell and went on and on about how crazy this guy was. Here is part of the conversation...

Wow. Wouldn't that be something if the Fade took him and he failed a drug test right off the bat?
However, he is smart enough not to get in trouble with the law. For now..... It'd be great if he went to Oakland. That's thugville. Should be enough to bring out his destructive side. |

Uh-huh. Call me a homer but I don't believe that. This is also the same that, for a fact, had about 22 people living in his house after Katrina, most extended family or friends. Sure, sure.

So, guys that do good deeds never mess around with recreational drugs and do stupid ****? Didn't Eugene Robinson receive a humanitarian award or somethin before he was busted for trying to nail a hooker before the soup against us. You're probably right, I just make **** up for fun.

They can draft Edwards or Stanton in round two. It wouldn't surprise me to see either one, or both, have better careers than Russell. Check out JaMarcus Russell's splits in college. His QB rating against unranked teams is well over 100, but its mediocre against top 25 teams.

That makes sense, but they have two good wr's so why not just draft the best available qb? |

All I've heard regarding this is Al Davis comparing Russell to a young Elway and then talking heads comparing Russell to Elway. If Jamarcus came out of college with Leinart, Young, and Cutler... Guess where he would've drafted among QB's.

I dont think quinn will even be a top five pick, some where around 7 or 8, the fade might just take calvin but with moss and porter i see them taking russell.
