Vince Young will be on the cover of Madden 2008.

Last year's victim of the "Madden Curse" was Shaun Alexander, who dealt with a foot injury all season and finished with a career low 3.6 yards-per-carry. Others who've been cursed recently include Marshall Faulk (2003), Michael Vick (2004), Ray Lewis ('05), and Donovan McNabb ('06).

well that sucks. I guess if anyone can overcome the Madden curse its Vince. I've actually seen him here in Austin a lot over the past few weeks. He looks much stronger than he did at this time last year.

The madden curse is real, i don't think its failed since 2000. Eddie George, Culpepper, Faulk, Lewis, vick, mcnabb, now Alexander.

Vince Young is done, Madden curse seals it.

Thats a good question. He had a solid rookie season no doubt, that said, I still dont think he was a top 10 player at his position last season?

Its an interesting selection and am curious if the curse continues this year.

He would have to be the lowest rated player within the game to ever be on the cover...most are what, at the least a 98? I can imagine him being rated in the 90s even...

yah wonder when and how's its going to happen, wouldn't wish it on anyone though, i remember TD on the cover of gameday 98 i think and you know what happen in 99, even though it wasn't on madden

I read somewhere that San Diego fans actually petitioned to keep LT off the cover this season.
