Default Scheffler put on thirty pounds, Dumervil likes new scheme

There are two new interviews for the workouts on the main site and both are worth a look.
http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=609

Tony Scheffler gained thirty pounds and is now 265 pounds! You can see it in his face. He says he always trims down during the summer and so he overloaded. Doesn't know much about Graham's game, but it doesn't appear to be bothering him much. It will be interesting to see if he's the same player at 255 that he was at 235.

Dumervil likes the new wider spread on the D-line. He also said that this new defense is all entirely new "fresh out of the package." That means there will be some growing pains to be had and we probably won't see the whole thing put together until next year, perhaps. I will point out that Bates always has top 10 defenses even when he was only in Green Bay for one year.

He seems like Jay's slightly dumber brother to me Ya Knows drive me insane. Ya know?

He interviews well, but not as good as Jay, but well. I would like to see him get back to around 250. Ribs and cheeseburgers aren't training Scheff.. Your not in the role of DT. We brought in a blocking TE.

Honstly, he seems a little soft to me. "Mr Brewster was hard on me..." STFU and get down to 250. He looks more fat that buff in that interview.

Finally coming around that Bates's is an intelligent and competent version of a defensive coordinator? Something we haven't had in a decade?

He said in the article that he always trims down in the summer. It's not summer yet.

I'm more than happy to uninstall real player. Screw it. It screwed the computer up. It sucks. What part of NO, I don't want it as my proxy player didn't it understand? Maybe I didn't quite download it right, but that has happened before. I agree, it sucks.

As far as Scheff goes, he looked pudgy to me in the clip. I appreciate his desire to be able to stand up better but that's why we got Graham. Butter Boy should drop some pounds. Second, he needs to learn technique instead of thinking bulk is going to cure his blocking flaws.

Posted weights are as acurate as Nifong's evidence.

Anyone think that Portis was 210 or Jenkins is 340?

He played at 235 last season because he lost so much weight during the more grueling NFL training camp and was never able to get that weight back on. I think he wants to make sure he's carrying more weight this season.

Tuten will get him running again this spring. The kid is focused. If he can stretch the field and block at 250lbs we have a new perrenial probowler.

So he actually just added 10 lbs to his normal weight, gotcha.

Except he didn't stay at ~250 last season, he dropped a lot of weight in camp and pre-season due to the extensive workouts.

Now he sounds prepared to maintain at least 245-250, the weight he ran those impressive combine drills at so I doubt it'll effect his field stretching ability, just hopefully make him a more powerful blocker.

I really like our offense, we have a lot of dynamic weapons who are just tough matchups for any D. The Walker is all world, Marshall is a big, power WR with good speed, Scheffler's speed is though for any LB to match up with and he's got size over any CB or S. Graham is a similar tough matchup and is a house blocking on the line. Add the veteran savvy of Rod and the pounding running style of Henry and the offense is looking tailor fit to make Cutler a star fast.

To add the weight was his own decision, he said. I wonder what the TE coach has to say about that. I would bet the guy will be back to about 240 by the start of the season. I have heard of 260-lb TEs, but Sheffler is not meant to be a Mini-Mustard, or a balooned Graham.

I am not impressed with the weight.

Real Player was voted as one of the top 5 worst pieces of software ever created.

AOL and Windows ME made the same list.

He will have to slim down unless the Broncos told him to get fat. I doubt it though. I'm not worried because Scheff is so young. Young athletes can drop lbs in a short time. If it was John Lynch showing up all fat I would be a little worried about him lol.

people are reading too much into all this. He is simply trying to maintain his proper playing weight going into the season. It's not like he is spending the offseason on the couch downing twinkies, he's participating the offseason workouts.

Yep, he said he dropped 15 pounds in camp last year, 235 is simply too small for a TE and it clearly hurt his blocking. Getting up to 265 to start camp now should guarantee he stays over the 245 mark.

Its not like he'll suddenly be a fat slob, he ran those combine numbers that impressed us all so much at 250.
