Default The Snow Starts in Denver

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm sick of this crap. I live in the foothills and I'm looking at a possible two feet by tomorrow afternoon and another foot or so on Monday. Argggggh!

People are either complaining about too much snow, or not enough (like years past). I will say that I'm surprised by how much has fallen in Denver this year though.

I just finished fertilizing my yard, and I am ready for the moisture. Every year I try to time the early stuff to get free watering....

I am not totally surprised, but it seems like the weather pattern is reverting a bit to the old days......

Trouble is this is another front range storm which all runs downhill to neb-kan-ok when it melts. Last I heard the snow levels in the mountains where we get most of our water was below normal.

Has been coming down fairly hard in tech center area for about an hour now, but nothing sticking yet.

Its been snowing here in the mtns off and on all day. Were supposed to get a foot but I'll believe it when I see it. Its been a strange year I do believe Denver has gotten more snow then we have.

2007 is on pace as one of the coldest years in a long while. Colorado especially has experienced more cold and snow than in many years past. Global warming, people.

It was frigid for April here for two weeks. Then it snowed two days almost a foot. (NW Iowa), I had to get out the de-icer to get the door open without breaking the door handle on the POS Dodge.

Seven kids got killed in an accident because it melted then refroze. Send it east, I'm getting used to it at this point. I even had to drag out the super gloves this moring when I had to make a cig run. Sun came out finally and I refuse to shovel snow in mid april.

Global warming means more extreme temperatures both ways Kaylore.

Snowing in Fremont county. It has been, really lightly all day. We are supposed to get 6 inches to 18.

DAMN YOU TO HELL AL GORE, DAMN YOU TO HELL.

You have insulted the weather gods. Groundhogs are still hibernating.

In all fairness, wild swings in climate are perfectly understandable as mother earth tries to heal itself. Goofy weather this spring here.

BTW, that's a snow owl. I've seen a couple owls. They are creepy with those piercing eyes. Cats have incredible vision to hunt vermin, but Owls and Eagles ect can see them in even greater resolution. They can see a mouse from 1000 feet or something.

Lucky. I'm in Westminster. It just started here. I saw on Channel 7 that we could get anywhere from 6-12 inches by the time it is all said and done on Sunday.(When it is supposed to be sunny and 48) Then on Monday it's supposed to be sunny and 60, and snow again on Tuesday. I don't know about any of you, but I am so tired of the snow. I've lived in Denver my entire life (32 years) and I've never liked the snow. I should have been born in Southern California!

on that note the national weather service has stated that the mountains that feed the arkansas river were at 130% of average before this storm, so if you get alot and it melts fast they say the arkansas will flood southeast colorado and western kansas towns along the river, which I might add has been dry for 10 years on the kansas side.

Droughts last year and floods this year. Snow pack is critical to agriculture. I'll take too much water over too little most days of the week, though. It's good for tourism in the mountains as well. $$$$
