Thanh is in Iraq working for Haliburton trying to get money to bring his wife and kid over from Vietnam.

One thing is for sure...you'll be able to get a ticket easier and cheaper than you will in Denver this season. C'mon down!

I'm going to try to talk my sister into it. Getting the money saved for the hotel and the plane ticket is going to be the biggest challenge. And, of course, the time off work.

If anyone needs tickets for this game, I can put my name in as a season ticket holder list for all away games. They would contact me the week of the game (probably weekend or even Friday since it is a thursday game). They would charge my credit card so I would need a paypal payment for whatever it cost. Tickets would be wherever Texans give away team tickets in. If you dont get any now, keep this for future. I would need to put the name in if possible choosen season ticket holder.

Gained one pound but not above 200 pounds! The best way to lose weight is to go on the tread mill where it tells you how much calories you burn off. I then realize how much I have to sweat to lose that licorice or candy bar (and even that beer). Not worth it much of the time so I have cut back on sweets probably 80% worth. Now, when you see me, can you resist the slimmer John? We will send Hogan on one of his Bud light runs )) !
Thanks for the compliment as it helps!

Why would i want to do something like that? She will be the lone cheesehead once we hit Denver in October.

Okay. there might be two of us (plus a newborn, lol..) coming in for this game. My sister needs a vacation and so we thought about coming down for this one for a few days. I'm trying to find a package deal with the Holiday Inn Reliant because airfare is cheap into Houston. How close is Reliant from the airport. Not the expensive one.. but the cheap one, lol. The one you all hate. A lot of the packages Ive seen on expedia have complimentary shuttle. Anyways, It's just in the planning stages right now, but hopefully becomes a reality.

Cheap Reliant? Hmmm...we are staying at the Reliant...not sure what you mean about the cheap one?

We're staying on Kirby Dr. by the stadium.
From what's on my confirmation...I don't think it was "cheap"!

Sassy.. I meant the cheap airport, not hotel. IAH or whatever it's called. I found a package for 250 a person. Includes round trip airfare from Denver to Houston, and hotel. I can't remember what hotel it was, but it was by Reliant Park. Its flying in on Thursday afternoon, and leaving on Saturday night.

I have bad news for you all, really bad news for my friend.

OK So the guy I get my tickets from, the one I got them for the NO game, turns out the dude got leukemia about 8 months ago and has not been doing very well the last three months. Anyway, he sold he share of the business to these dudes he was partnered with and I dont trust to give me a straight deal.

Im still going to see about the group deal but if you guys dont hear from me by the start of the season, I may not be able to do anything. I know what I said, but this was before I found out about Steve's condition. Really sucks, the guy is really cool, now when I get better from my sickness I gotta go to the hospital and see him.

Im still gonna try guys, but its no longer gauranteed.

My point was if it's flying in Thursday PM, I don't know if I would trust it to make the game...the way the flights are these days. I just spent 12 hours waiting in Chicago for a flight to Rochester because UNITED decided to take a smaller plane bumping 6 of us off the flight...and the 1 and 4 pm flights were booked...then mech problems for the 6:30 flight. I didn't get to Rochester until 10:30 that night and was supposed to be there at 11:30 that am.

Tell Tahn to make it out of that deal alive. When he does we'll have to do a roadie again. That was a road trip I'll never forget......

Actually Meck, me and Thanh dont speak anymore.

We had a falling out of sorts. Its a long, complicated story, and when best friends part thats usually the only way it happens, but I wish him well.

Honestly I dont think he is coming back to the US. He is married to a woman in Vietnam and has a kid there and the money he makes in Iraq will be enough to support his family in Vietnam his whole life, comfortably.

Hmm..Yeah I remember you mentioned that but since you brought him up I thought things changed. Yeah sometimes it's just better to go different directions in the end. Lifes too short to stay bitter IMO. Regardless it was a memorable trip. Who'd a thought NO would be toast shortly there after.

Just driving over that bridge for half a day tripped me out. Couldn't imagine being stuck on that son of a gun during a hurricane. Unreal.

Man Alec, sorry to hear about your friend and the falling out with Thanh.

I think, under the circumstances, Sass & I may make other ticket arrangements..but if we do, we'll be sure to let you know ASAP......we won't leave you hanging, that's for sure.

See you there.

We're looking to fly out in the morning. The flight I saw leaves Denver around 10 something and gets into Houston at 1 something. It's still so up in the air, since it's around three weeks after my sister's due date.
