Gotcha!
Doesn't New Orleans seem like "forever" ago!
(BTW...still very much appreciate what you did for Hogan and I regarding tickets there...)

What else is there to do in Houston?

Hmm, what isnt there to do?

THe Aquarium is a great downtown restaurant/aquarium with awesome (though pricey) seafood. Really if you got the money, there are plenty of things to do and there are plenty of things to do that are fairly affordable too. If you like to eat, Houston is a great place having more restaurants per capita than any other city in the nation (New Orleans was #1, but not anymore).

There is the Kemah Boardwalk which is a great place to go eat and enjoy an amusement park like atmosphere without the lines of an amusement park. It sits on Galveston bay and has about 15 different restaurants of all types of food. THere is also an Aquarium restaurant here as well.

There is a fantastic museum district west of Downtown and east-northeast of Reliant stadium. The theater district is second only to New York City in seating and Houston does boast all 5 major permanent troupe's for the theater arts. TUTS (Theater Under the Stars) is actually really good and Im not even a big theater fan, but its a great atmosphere.

December weather can be chilly but rarely cold. Temps should be in the 40s, maybe 50s and sometimes 60s and 70s. Though it could also be in the 20s and 30s or even teens. Plan on chilly weather but bring shorts and a light jacket just in case.

There is also NASA and the famous Apollo Rocket is on display down here (like 3 blocks from where I work). I mean, really the scientists that created that thing were compensating for something cuz its friggin huge. Galveston is a fairly short trip.

My suggestion is this: Do not fly into Houston IAH if you can avoid it. It is a good distance away from all the cool stuff. Houston Hobby isnt as cheap to fly into but its much closer to everything.

Depending on when you get into town and how long you plan on staying we can meet up and I can show you some great places to go.

Yeah, typical non-Texan attitude towards Houston. Dallas is more typical of what out of staters picture Texan's and Texas cities to be like. Houston is more cosmopolitan and diversified.

Can't get a return flight out of Hobby, so I'm stuck with working thru Idiot International airport. No comp airport shuttle either, meaning at least $50.00 one way for transportation to and from there......good thing I have months in advance to save for this

Its not named after Junior. Its named after his dad.

I'll see what I can do to hook you up on a ride from the airport and back. I'll take you on the scenic tour

Very cool...we'll get things set up when the time comes. I booked my flight to Houston today, the hotel has been reserved since the schedule came out....so for right now, all is going according to plan
