Yeah, I know...it's a huge mark up. It seems that almost all of the hotels in the area did mark up their rates. Even the Adams Mark was outrageously priced. I got it for 89 and I just checked and they were asking 189. There were only a handful of hotels that were priced under 100.

Anyway, I'll bug here tomorrow and see if there is any way they can cut us a break on rooms or what number of rooms we need to reserve in order to get a break.

Hotels sometimes have a different rate for different nights. I think your Sat/Sun rate is 149 and your Mon/Tues rate is lower. Say 89 or 99...which sounds right.

Adam's Mark is outrageously expensive anyways, isn't it? The Residence Inn is nice too, I thought, and the rooms were like little apartments. I don't know how much they cost though. It's on Federal, not far from Invesco.

can always stay on Mecks little land there and pitch some tents!!

150 is outrageous, yes i know all that great stuff about shutles, and no parking... but many hotels around Invesco do the same thing id bet.

There aren't many hotels around Invesco. Anyway, most of the hotels near there are $100+ a night. It's just an option. If someone finds something less expensive that would be convenient, i'd be willing to work with it. Just let me know.

A lot of hotels now will just take you within 3 miles of the hotel...and usually that doesn't include stadiums. That's not far.

For right now, I'm happy with knowing "when".... we can take a couple of days researching nearby hotels, etc. and deciding on our reservations and take care of tickets in early summer.

I see the Red Lion figured out what was going on. A couple of years ago I booked rooms for three different games the day they released the schedule. It was about $70 per night with no 2 night minimum. A couple of weeks later when they figured out when the games were the rates went up over $120 and required a two night stay. They must have finally got up to speed on when the schedule is released.

Sorry to hear you live in a bad area of Bend. BTW: I bought some of that Pale Ale made in Bend (Mirror Pond?). Just because i knew you lived there. You helped them sell a sixer.

The important question is... was the ale good?

Im looking to split a room with someone (ludo?) to cut the cost if this is where everyone wants to stay. If you want just one bed, then you will have to pay the whole room amount. I am not some cheap b**** you know!

The Ale was alright. Not as good as Sierra Nevada. Dont get me started or ill go find the beer thread for good suds talk!

Oh, you aren't alone. There's others out there who make those last minute plans! I bet there are a few that decide on Sept. 15th that this will be the game to go to!

I'll probably show my face at OF1 sometime before the game.

If only I could move my name up on that season ticket list......
