What kind of stuff is your girl into D? Depending on the time of the CU game, you could go for a cool hike or run around on the Pearl St. Mall in Boulder. If you need any suggestions, let me know.

Well, apparently the Red Lion has caught on and raised their rates. But, I still think it's a fairly good deal as parking is free and you can just walk to the game...no need to find a parking space for the game or worry about driving drunk. They also will shuttle any of us downtown or wherever for free.
The Rate is $149 a night. There is a two night minimum. I've got a block of 10 rooms on hold. If you are interested in a room, send me a pm with your name and how many rooms and what nights. At that point you will be responsible for your reservation with them. I'll send back instructions from there. |

What was the regular rate without the block of rooms?
I think we paid 139 or maybe 129 last fall. |

$149.00 Ouch, Seems real high. I was in Denver over the weekend and stayed at the Sheraton 4 points for under $40.00 a night. King bed on the top floor with a view of the snow showers lol

Another option would be to try the Adams Mark hotel. We could get a block of rooms there then just take the trains to the game. No driving needed.
Scratch that...Adams Mark is $188 a night. UGH Last edited by smalltowngrll; 04-11-2007 at 04:39 PM.. |

We're definitely in for the tailgate and all, but $150 a night at the Red Lion is probably a tad spendy for our budget....

It's actually still a good deal...if you count in a rental car, having to drive after drinking or taking a taxi and free shuttle downtown...it still is a very good deal.
We just booked the Holiday by Reliant in Houston...much more spendy! ...as was our hotel in Diego last year. |

We took a taxi in Diego and it cost us $40 just to get to the game...and our hotel wasn't that far away.
Oh yeah...and a great bar and room service/food at the hotel is always a plus! |

So if she won't give you a discount, why hold the rooms?
Each of us could do that on a credit card...you can cancel up to 24 hours before and not be charged right? |

Because you know that some will piddle around and not get any rooms. Not to mention we can have the rooms be on the same floor probably. I really think that rooms will go much quicker than July. But, I'll bug her again about the rate.
