I am not sold on some of these picks especially since every thing I have read lately has Branch slipping like it was his job. but some interesting picks, I havent herd anything on the DT he has the Broncos taking in the second but I dont really agree with the OL pick with one of our thirds. any ways take a look.

Adrian Peterson dropping to 12 seems a bit unlikely.

Anthony Gonzalez in the third would be an incredible steal.

Turk McBride is an OK player, but is only about 280. He's a late 3rd or 4th round pick in my mind, but doesn't fit the "Bates style"

If we are looking DT and Harrell is available a handful of spots before we pick, Shanny should move up to ensure we land him.

Harrell is a bad boy. I'm a Vols fan and may be a bit biased, but his injury is the reason the gators won it all. Had he not gone down the game prior to vols/gators, Leak never would have had as much time to run around looking for WRs in the 4th qtr. he was a difference maker for them.

He played a heck of a game against Florida with one arm. Branch wasn't that active in any game with two arms.

Harrell is rising up boards, apparently. I keep seeing him going to the Colts with #32. I think trading back with the Bears(for Timmons maybe?) or the Saints(for one of the CBs) or any of the teams looking for a WR would be a good way to pick up another third or fourth.

Here are some compensatory picks that could be used as fuel:

Broncos: 21=800

Chargers: 96=116, 93=128, 30=620

Ravens: 134 or 137=39, 61=292, 29=640 PLUS our 86=160

Non-compensatory:

Bears: 31=600, 94=124, + 4th rounder...or my new crazy theory: 31 and 37(from Jets) for #21 and Ian Gold

Patriots: 28=660, 91=136

Saints: 27=680, 119=56, 121=52

Anybody else have some draft trade ideas?

seriously I love this idea at 31 and 37 we could really fill some holes that would give us five first day selections.

I heard this guy being interviewed on the radio and he said he anticipated that a team would trade up into the top10 for Petersen, but that without accounting for trades, he thought AP could fall as far as 12. He mentioned that several scouts he's talked to around the league are wary of AP and the fact that he never completed a season of college football healthy. He said he thought that talent-wise, AP was a top5 pick. Whatever the case, I wouldn't anticipate AP lasting past the 9 spot, and maybe going at 6 to whatever team WAS makes a deal with.

whoops, totally forgot about that, my bad.

As for the 31 and 37 trade. I think that would be great, we could get guys like Jarvis Moss, Justin Harrell, Michael Griffin, or Joe Staley and still have two picks left most likely, maybe three.
