I am under the opinion that Denver would benefit most by trading into the top 10 and get either Gaines Adams or Laron Landry. Either 1 of those guys would add a lot to the defense. In Adams we would get our pass rusher(finally) and Landry is going to be one of the best Safeties in the league for years to come. Not to mention but our safety position is older with Lynch and Ferguson both in the later parts of their careers, and the fact that Ferguson is coming off major injury. Also injuries took there toll on the depth at the position, forcing Foxworth to play safety.
If possible i would also like to land WR Anthony Gonzales in the second if DEenver can make that a possibility. Although i am not positive how many picks and in what rounds Denver has available to them. Hopefully someone can let me know on that. And i would not mind seeing Denver use a 3rd round pick on RB Michael Bush. The guy has 1st round talent, and would have been a Heisman favorite if not for injury, and he should be around in the 3rd because of the injury. Also i would be more than happy if Denver could sneek in and pick up Calvin Johnson. If Denver is set on trading Al, i say throw in the 21st pick and move to 6 in a trade with Washington, and then work on getting Millen to give up number 2. The guy isn't that bright and if anyone can screw him over it is Shanny. Just ask the skins |

Trade down and then trade down again and perhaps one more time.

Get their picks in on time. Don't draft injured players.

We have all the spots we need. I think there are 8-12 spots that are reasonably up for grabs between rookies and bubble vets.

I can somewhat see that since rookies come very cheap. But, I don't expect it to happen in one season. I would say Denver currently has plenty of selections/UDFA to compete with bubble vets.

Go DT, S, DE, WR with the 1st 4 picks, and grab an OT and a pair of DEs with the rest of the picks.

Please address the D-Line by drafting and developing. Then after that Safety, OT, and CB. But Denver must draft a Defensive Lineman that can become great as we aren't going to pull the RB plug the hole method there. This must be addressed in my mind, at least.

Trade up to 2, trade down to 6, trade down to 10 and draft Alan Branch.

Just going by estimates.
7 draft selections, X amount of UDFA's, and possibly more veteran FA's signed. 8-12 positions that are currently up for grabs according to you. The team is in a very good position. As of now, looks good going into training camp this season. |

So few! Wish we had as many as we usually get!
Seriously though, we don't need to have every bubble vet replaced to compete for a championship. At this point I just want to see the front seven addressed and special teams to improve. We'll see, I guess. |

Denver still needs a speed WR. Might not be bigger then DL but, after Walker and Marshall is uncertain. Brandon and Rod can help but, can both avoid nagging injuries this year. Both guys are year to year players anyway.

I certainly think Denver does need a WR. As of now, Walker is the only proven receiver. I expect Rod Smith to retire/cut after this season. BM has shown he's possibly capable, but still an unknown. Curtis/Stokely/Hixon. Who knows how long they will be here. Woudln't shock me one bit if Denver goes WR round 1, especially where they're drafting and the potential WR's that can be drafted.

I will be dumbfounded if the go WR first round. Its just makes sense going for DL first round, its the biggest need. But then again look what happened last year.

I think if we stay put at 21 we could go any direction. I think all of us a assuming too much that we will draft DL DL DL. I'm hoping for at least a DE DT on day 1 but, I can see Denver only drafting 1 too.

I for sure think we are trading down from our 1 st pick and will end up getting a high 2nd and high 4th for the same.
which makes it 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's... and i see there (DT, DE, S, WR) and top 4th being OG/OT and with shanny we draft a RB no matter what... so we will do it some where in the later rounds. I am sure that WR being drafted will be KR/PR as well.. i am not sold on hixon till i see him in action |

As far as trading up goes, I agree that Gaines and Landry would be excellent targets. I'm still convinced that the Pats will trade their two firsts to move up for Landry, so the Broncos would have to get (at least) to Atlanta's spot. Trading down? I agree with Herc, now is not the time for a bunch of filler. The Broncos need to get a sure-fire hit. Frankly, I hope they do what they did with CBs and draft 3 Dlinemen. Somewhere on here I put a thread listing all the possibilities. I guess my dream draft for this year would be Carriker, Harrell and Bazuin. Throw in a LB late (say DeOssie) and maybe Piscitelli and I'm all set.
