I've just been watching the onslaught of Super Bowl XXXII replay stuff on NFL network. One of my favorite parts is Gibbs yelling that out.
I also liked when Griffith was narrating, in regards to cutting Levon Kirkland in the AFC Championship, "...why you got to weigh 300 pound?" /shrug. I've also thought this for awhile, but imo, I wouldn't have been dissapointed to see Steve Atwater win the MVP. That had to be one of the greatest safety performances I've seen. |

I don't care if he was a Jet. Ronnie Lott was a Jet, but no one thinks of him that way. If a favorite player plays for another team, it doesn't take away all the fond memories they gave me as a Bronco.

Remeber Atwater had that sure pick that dropped through his hands and another he got one hand on and couldn't pull in.
If he picks that easy one I think there is a 50/50 chance he was the MVP. If he pulled down both I think for sure he was. OK, well maybe not, Davis was the man that day... Maybe Co-MVPs |

Also, it's kind of sweet that us Bronco fans can talk about Super Bowl moments as our most memorable times but on the Chorfs board it looks like for most of them the Montana Monday Night comback in '94 is the greastest thing they've seen in their lifetime.
It does suck to follow a mediocre franchise... I know that following the Nuggets. |

I always love the call when Eddie Mac lays out Brian Williams on the block near the sideline then he points at his b**** ass as he is flying out of bounds.

Denver came to play that day. They kinda called a three way tie with the Jets, one of the Montana to Taylor SB's and Denver.

I actually talked to TD on the sidelines of that game and asked him if he was ok. I had gotten on the field somewhere around the 3rd quarter. Most amazing 30 minutes or so of my life.

TD was a warrior man. I love it when he's hurting, can't see, and Shanny asks him to go in for the play fake and he goes in no question to help the team. I liked hearing Elway's commentary over the whole thing too, I like hearing him talk about it. Super Bowl XXXII was the ultimate for Bronco fans. After the 4 losses, all the Elway bashing and everything else, there will never be a sweeter moment as a Bronco fan. XXXIII was nice of course, but XXXII was magic. |

Nobody responded to my post above, but I was offended they chose stupid Kneel Smith over Gary Zimmerman as a narrator/interviewee. Despite his media silence while playing, Zimmerman is a very funny, very interesting, smart and articulate guy (I have an mp3 interview iof anybody wants it).
Zimmerman is currently a Hall-of-Fame finalist .... he began his career in the USFL blocking for Steve Young in front of crowds of 6,000 fans ... went on to be named to the NFL All-Decade team twice ... and played his last game as a pro that day in San Diego. Now THAT'S a backstory. Plus, picking up and extending what DomCasual and Khan said about Atwater - Kneel Smith is a CHEF!! Those freaking bastards putting a CHEF in OUR "America's Game" story is a kick in the groin. |

A life long friend of mine, also raised in Denver and now living in Phoenix....watched the game together. Nervous wrecks, ashen pale throughout the the game. Then that Elway helecopter play - we flipped out, knowing right there and then the game was ours and there was no way we were going to lose. We were like kids again as the weights of the superbowl losses we had witnessed together as kids was totally removed. We may win again and I will be very happy of course. But NOTHING will ever compare to SB XXXII And the icing on the cake - a coworker of mine at the time was a massive Packer fan who had tickets to the game. He was gloating for weeks about how we were going to get blown out, but if it helped any he would pick up a copy of the game program for me. I kept my tounge and would just say "We'll see. You wont have an answer for TD" (that lil rhyme was my only reply each time he talked) One of the most satisfying feelings in my life was the following Monday when that dude came into work after TD steamrolled the Packers defensive front. Told me how TD was the best RB he had ever seen as he handed me a copy of the game program (which I have on display at home) I especially recall the commentators talking about how 'gassed' the Packers defensive front looked in the 4th. Looking forward to watching that NFL network program on the game :-) |

I would have liked to see Sharpe do some narrating too. One his better speeches was his comments after the game on how no one gave them a chance against KC or PITT on the road let alone GB on a neutral field. I would have liked for at least that speech to have been included at the end. |

Adopt-a-Bronco: wth happened |
I remember watching the game with my Dad. He wasn't a Bronco fan, but a Jets fan. He knew I was a die hard Bronco fan and that meant some great times, but some disappointing SB games. We always gave each other a bad time about our teams when it wasnt going well, but he said he could never disrespect Elway.
Even after Elways helicopter I couldnt be convinced that we were going to win a Superbowl. It wasnt til the clock went down to 00:00 with the Broncos ahead that my eyes filled with tears of joy. Like Elway had mentioned for himself, that it felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. I think alot of Bronco fans felt the same way, I know I did. I went outside yelling , YEAH Denver Broncos are Super bowl champions !! Oh what a feeling.. |

That was just the coolest day ever. My dad and I were nevous wrecks during J'Ville, KC, and Pitt and so that Sunday we couldnt stand it and had to go skiing to take our minds off of it. I remember him telling me "Don't think theyre going to win, just hope they don't get embarrassed" to which I replied "Dan Reeves isn't on our sideline dad."
I remember chewing the TVs ass for taking way too long during the pregame. Man we lived and died on every play that game. If the Pack got a first down, I was sure we were going to lose. Man, I'll be honest. '98 was the most enjoyable season I've experienced, but '97 was the sweetest. That team and that year will never, ever be duplicated. Seriously though, I can watch SB 33 and smile, but I have watched SB 32 countless times, and I have never made it through that game without tearing up. |
