Not to start 'the' debate, but this game looks like the type that would really shine with the ps3's superior hardware.

Looked really good. I hope they tried to add more detail, instead of trying to go bigger.
I thought that in a lot of ways the series took a downward turn with San Andreas. Sure, you could technically do a lot more, but the world wasn't as cool and didn't have as much character as in Vice City. In Vice City, I felt kinda like a bad ass driving around with all the 80's music and neon. In San Andres, I just kinda felt like a punk. San Andreas lacked a soul, something that made VC a much better game, IMHO... |

San Andreas is the best of the series IMO. For me it's actually kinda hard to go back and play Vice City without all the cool features introduced in SA. I really dug the SA gangsta theme too, much more so than Miami Vice.
IV definitely looks awesome. |

lol GTA graphix are always so throw back. Everythings still blocky and they are on pretty fast hardware now. Too bad b/c Oblivion and Saints Row look so good, and they are both big games where you can walk around wherever you want like GTA. Still will be sweet, I'm not sure how much more hectic the game can get.

I have Windows Media Player 11, and I've had this problem with some other video files in the past, too. Any other ideas? I mean, it's not completely black in color, kinda purplish. Like light black (if that exists) so you can tell there the borders of the video would be within the program.

As for the game itself, I find it interesting that they're actually setting it in New York City, as opposed to a fake city modeled after a real city (VC - Miami, SA - L.A.). Is the cityscape going to be realistic to NYC? Like street names, curves and turns of the streets, bridges, islands, etc. Or will it just include the major landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, etc. If they're actually putting the game into an existing city, I would hope they make it very realistic. Otherwise, people who know the city will be disappointed, like "Hey, that's not where that street actually leads to!" and stuff.

At the highest quality setting the video is huge. Unless you have a pretty quick internet connection it's going to take some time to load up before it plays anything. |

NYC = LBC it says Liberty City in Gold on a building. I still would have perfered london as all the other cities were based on city names in the 2D series and th last 2D game was GTA: London 69'

IMO, that game is pornography. Actually, it's worse than pornography. It's more of a mix of bestiality and pedophilia.

right when the dude says I've sold people look under the boat's name (Plattypus) it says Liberty City I don't work for Rockstar I just watches the video and I can read! It won't be NYC beause they would have to pay to much for the likeness rights, its just like how mustangs in GTA are called Stallions. the Statue of Liberty will probally be called the "lady of virtue" or some **** like that. As for the trailor looking bad the game doesn't come out for months the game designers have time to clean up the game's rough edges, and the pedophilia and beastiality comment while funny how does it relate to a video game? I just don't see it.

It's adult entertainment, I'll give you that. But it's a brilliant simulation and near perfect sandbox for some dynamic and immersive game play.

Looks pretty great, I'm sure R* will deliver as always. Nice to know that this franchise is branching out to multiplatform release too, one less game you need to try factoring into the "which system to get" debate, we can all just enjoy it amicably. |

I've created a great new game. I call it Grand Theft - Baghdad: The Insurgency. You get to play Abdul, the Al Queda insurgent launching rockets at passing truck convoys. If you are lucky enough to catch a truck driver alive, you get to saw his head off with a kitchen knife. If you can get through the first, convoy attacking level, you get to create and lay your own IEDs. Blow up children and old ladies in real time! Snipe American soldiers! Hang their burning carcasses from an overpass. It's a gas! Filled with dynamic and immersive game play.

The game does exploit the facets of American culture that you might not like, the fact of the matter is that sex and violence are what sells in this country. If you have a problem with the subject matter of the GTA series am I to assume you have a similar problem with the NFL. Its a product that constantly entices consumers with the lure of "the big hit" and once a week it highlights its most violent moments. Don't try to portray those who enjoy games like this as pedophilias or promoters of beastality. Those things are despicable and it pisses me off that you would even mention my name in the same sentence as pedophilia. I'm not an immoral person because I enjoy playing GTA, just as watching football does not make me immoral. To judge others is not in my nor your job descriptions as Christians, so I'll keep my thoughts on hypocrites to my self. Last edited by CoBear23; 03-30-2007 at 01:05 PM.. |
