Do any of you consider yourselves "gamers". Was wondering what you all like to play the most. These are the ones I play mostly. PC only. I don't do consoles.
Day Of Defeat (HL2 - WWII Mod) (1st person shooter) Tiger Woods 2007 (Golf) Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter (1st person shooter) Pirates, Vikings & Knights 2 (HL2 MOD) (1st person) FlatOut 2 - (Racing) MX vs ATV (Racing) |

Gears of War baby. Sawing a friends body in half to the tune of my sadistic laugh never got old. All those hours gone...
I sold my 360 b/c of that actually. Took the money and ran since it was hurting my life in every way possible bc of how addictive the game became. Other than that, I played NFL 2k5 ALOT. |

Anyone here play video games online?
That's like asking a hooker if she has vd. That's like asking a butcher if he has hog head cheese. Come on, you know better. This is nerd central, guy. (and no, I don't play video games. sports is enough of a waste of time for me as it is. two worthless endeavors? not this kid.) |

I'm lucky enough to make games for a living. Great career.
I'm still playing Counter Strike. Player WoW forever, finally gave it up. Waiting eagerly for Team Fortress 2. |

I can't play that like I used to but my brother is hardcore. I have a 60 warrior and a 40 blood elf priest. My problem with online role playing games is they are all just collecting items and inserting them into vending machines or NPC's to receive experience, items or both. It gets old.

The 2 PC games I own, and the only 2 games i see myself playing in the foreseeable future are world of warcraft and supreme commander. world of warcraft is the most engrossing gaming experiance out there. if you get into gaming AT ALL, this game is the end-all for you. if you've played it and haven't found that to be true then i promise you, you haven't given the game a fair shot. play this game for 6 months and I promise, you won't find another game that compares. it's everything a good game should be, x100. outside of that... i play supreme commander, which is f*$king insane for an RTS game. the scope of it is unbelievable. the game is definately in a class all it's own. and... i am drunk. wooo. |

Console and PC gamer. Still a big Halo 2 fan, even though the play time has gone down. Play GRAW and wait for some C&C3 to play online. Also some madden and GOW. Gotta love a 360!!

I played Tribes for years not a huge following but the ones that could play that is all we did. I mean I use to never leave my PC when I was off work till late. I killed myself (figuratively) playing so much and then catchin a couple hours then back to work. That was well back into single life. I dropped that game when Tribes 2 came out and didnt like it. Then I was real big into Lineage 2 I still miss that game. I quit and just gave all my cash and extra gear to a guild mate simply because the game was seriously taking up to much time. I moved on to WoW and had a 56+ realy cant remember shammy but that game simply wasnt as fun maybey if you had serious guild mates but mine were off I mean they wouldnt group up for much just about 5 of us so I gave that up as well. Now from time to time if I can get my ps2 to work I will go online and play Fifa07. I try not to get into online games anymore because of the time involved, I simply would rather spend it with my wife and kids.

I still play WoW occasionally, just got a Xbox360 a few weeks ago. I've been mostly a Sony fanboy for the last several years, but Xbox Live has me hooked.

Online play is gay. It'd be great if the pre-requisite was that you had to be a working person and were over the age of 17.

Company of heroes - best real time strategy game since Starcraft if you ask me.
Goldeye source - half life 2 mod (only multiplayer, wish they remade the whole goldeneye game - my favorite game of all time) Cant wait for Team fortress 2, Crysis and Assassins creed. |

I think one of the best things I ever did was join a clan in DOD and when you had CLAN wars, it was the ultimate. Totally experienced players on both sides. You and your team work as a TEAM, you have a role to play and the other guys depend on you. No mic spamming, no hacking or cheats or exploits. It's really the best way to go. Problem is, you have to endure countless hours of the playing the game to get good enough to where a Clan will accept you and you might have a small fee to pay to support the website and server. One thing is for sure - it's addicting as hell and it's way to easy to spend your precious life away. That's why I never bought console, just stick to my few PC games. The one truly great thing about DOD over other WWII shooters is the speed of the game and the amount of damage require to kill. I always though COD was great affects but was tired of pumping full rounds into somebody only to watch them stay alive. When HL2 was released, the DOD team didn't just update 3.1, they totally rebuilt the game around the new engine and now I think it's totally the most realistic and fun shooter there is. I do play CS Source sometimes but I hate having to wait 5 minutes when the round is over to play again since there is no respawn mode. |
