Reading the Wilson trade rumor I saw that Justin Tuck is supposedly our target, anyone know anything about the guy? Will he really make a difference for us?

6-5, 274. Supposedly an up and comming Defensive End, the guy is certainly big, and is said to be explosive off the line. However, his stats are not that impressive. Might be a playing time issue though. |

Tuck hasn't played a lot because New York has a lot of depth at defensive end. He's a good special teams player, though. Its the injury to the lisfranc joint in his foot that concerns me.

Who's Justin Tuck?
A rotational potential player who's coming off a Lisfranc Injury on his foot which is death to a DE. Paul Toviessi anyone? |

Drafted in the third round (#74) 2005. Not really had much chance to show what he can do, so still full of potential.
If that was all we got for Wilson though, I'd develop a stomach-ulcer.... |

Tuck is a guy that would fit Bates system. He is an edge rushing one gap DE. And, of course DEN is all too willing to gamble on damaged goods players. Tuck is capable, but will he pass a physical at this point?

Do the Broncos really have no chance at getting Kiwinuka? Wilson and a 5th for Kiwi? I don't know about Tuck... He's as good as a draft pick, in that he's got the potential, but not enough playing time to really know whats up.

My ass. Don't believe the NYG fanboy hype, Shanahan reportedly had 10th overall pick value offered for Wilson by the Lions and turned it down. He's going to extract accurate value for Wilson and it isn't Kiwanuka or Tuck straight up. |

I liked Tuck coming in as a rookie...less so now with his injury, and there's no way this is the real goal Shanny's looking for in a potential Wilson trade.

[QUOTE=Drek;1523483]Has Shanahan ever gotten hosed in a trade?
Thats what scares me the most. The Giants are a team that will hold their ground pretty well. Besides the Chargers fleecing them. Last edited by rbackfactory80; 03-23-2007 at 12:01 PM.. |

I wanted Tuck in the draft big-time. He's a better Heyward.

It's regardless. Broncos were never interested anyway. The proposed deal with NYG only involved draft picks.
