Hell no, the chances of the top pick being as dominant as Champ are slim to none.

Because he's not worth Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Gaines Adams - Not to mention he's proven and those are all unknowns that could bust. You're talking about one of the top five players in the whole league.

Champ is the best player in the NFL at his position - a difficult position to man. You could argue he's the best player in the league on his side of the ball - certainly, he's in the top five. We don't need a QB, and I wouldn't invest a pick that high on a WR, as a general rule. There's no one else up there that would bring us near the value for the next 4-5 years that Champ will.
You are a crazy bastard for even bringing it up. |

Slap yourself and go jump off a cliff for making this thread.
Champ Bailey = 50% our defense. Real talk. |

To me, our team has two untradeable players: Jay Cutler, Champ Bailey.
That's just my opinion, which I know there is a lot of disagreement. But I personally wouldn't take any trade related to these two players unless it was so ridiculous that the offer was constructed by a team of Dan Snyders and Matt Millens working around the clock to figure out the best way to completely screw their teams for the next decade or worse. |

I'll take Calvin Johnson catching passes from Jay Cutler for the next decade plus than have a CB who's in his prime now only to fall. I've been high on CJ for many years. I'd dump Champ in a milisecond if it meant the Broncos were drafting Calvin Johnson.

As was noted above, Champ's value is proven; a draft pick... even #1 overall... has nothing more than potential. And I'd absolutely hate to see Champ in silver and black.

I'm kinda surprised on the poll results. I am definately one of 2. I think people aren't seeing the big picture. Doesn't matter. We all have opinions. Cutler to Johnson for the next decade plus. Champ is in his prime now. He's not going to get better. He's hit his peak and his talent will begin to decline sooner rather than later. I've been a huge CJ fan and this guy is amazing. His only going to get better in the next 4 years as Champ is going to decline in the next 4. Who would you have? A player getting better or a player on the decline. Reality is what it is. Champ will decline as CJ gets better.
I think the poll voters are using too much emotion. |
