Default Ian Scott?

Sorry if this is a repost... but, what about this guy?

Bears may re-sign DT Scott

Sources say the Bears, in the wake of the Tank Johnson sentencing, quietly expressed interest in re-signing defensive tackle Ian Scott. He is testing free agency after four seasons in Chicago and has been in talks with the Chiefs, Broncos and Vikings.

He's been discussed hereabouts with somewhat mixed endorsements. He's a space eater. And has had some average stats. Might fit in Bates' system, but the Broncos failed to sign him when he was here. Maybe Chicago is going to pony up the loot to keep him.

He is supposed to visit KC today or sometime early this week.

If the broncos had wanted he or Boone they would have signed them. I think they were both in for visits and the FO saw them as non-answers.

So if 300 pound Tommie Harris was available would you say "he's smaller than what we are looking for. same size as myers"?

No, but last time i checked, Ian Scott isn't an exceptional player, so in this case, it applies.

In the Bates scheme, Harris would be fine as a MLB.
